1st Ornament.

I apologize for still playing catch up on my blog!
I hate having to post about the past but I need it for myself!

Every Christmas my family has a tradition of getting an ornament that represents that year! I love this tradition so much and with all the craziness going on with the wedding and finals and our big annual show I never got around to finding us one.
But don't you worry because my mom is wonderwoman!
She custom ordered us our very first Christmas Ornament!!!!
Isn't it adorable????????
I love it soooooo much!
We had a wonderful Christmas with both families! (The balancing game between families is a little hard, but worth it!) I love the holiday season and am sad to see it end!
Thank you Mom for always thinking of others and making every holiday, every occasion, and every day so specail!

Merry (Late) Christmas everyone!!!!

Honeymoon. End.

Let's face it...everything has to come to an end sometime, be it good or bad!
Unfortunately that meant the honeymoon too.
So enjoy these last few pictures!
This was us the morning we are supposed to leave! We packed everything, weighed our suitcases, and layered clothes on to make our suitcases keep under the weight! :) Then we snuggled up and soaked in the last few minutes of our Turtle Bay Resort experience. We didn't want to leave can you tell?
Right as we were walking out I realized that I needed to take every picture of every view from our room balcony. Here is what we woke up to every morning and fell asleep to every night! Let's go back!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff has our bag (we only took one bag) all loaded up and we are ready to go! Here is our rental car (yep we are big kids now) and the last picture at the resort.
Then we went and turned in our rental car, caught a cab to the airport, got all checked in, found out our flight was delayed 4 hours so the waiting game began. We decided to start it out with a little Pinkberry, both of our first. During our wait we played games, snacked, talked, and had a few people tell us their life story (Jeff says I have a gift, I just sit there and I literally have random people come up to me and tell me their life story.) The craziest lady we met was named Christmas and she was born on Christmas, she was a hair stylist that got caught up in a few fraud events and the person she was living with got put in jail and so she was going to see her sister or something like that? I don't know? It was crazy! Then there was a really sweet 80 year old lady that told me her Hawaii history, what happened with her husband and his health, the toll it's taking on her, and the joy her grandkids bring her, it was really sweet. One story she told me that stuck with me was that she didn't know if she could take care of her husband anymore, sometimes he doesn't know who she is, she takes care of him and she literally has to lift him up on the toilet for him to go, it really touched me to see the love she has for him. She was really sweet.
Anyways, the wait was long but it wasn't so bad! We ate good (but expensive) food, we met some awesome people, we made some funny faces (as you can see), and the best part was we were together! After having all this airport fun we loaded up on the plane, flew, landed, caught a cab back to Mandalay Bay, got in our car and headed home. Our Hawaii adventure was over! :( But it was a beautiful start to a beautiful marriage! I love you Jeff SOOOOO MUCH!!!!
However, don't feel too bad for us having to come home from Hawaii. Look what we came home to! :) We are so blessed! The honeymoon came to an end but we have an eternity to look forward to!!!!
I love my life!!

Honeymoon. Middle.

We arrived in Hawaii Friday afternoon! After settling in we went down to the beach and hung out til the sun went down! Then we went back to our room and passed out!!!! Literally passed out like dead people! Haha!!! We woke up at 2 starved because in the middle of all the excitement we forgot to eat! I forced myself to sleep some more then woke up at 6:30, hurried and got ready then we headed to Tita's Grill! Tita's grill is my Grandpa Ah Quin's side of the family's grill! It is delicious! They were so good to us, they gave us a feast for free because we are family. How sweet are they??? We devoured it, gave big hugs, then headed off for an adventure!

I took him very first to Laie point and showed him the look out and the legend to the rocks in the ocean! He was in awww to the beauty of Hawaii and we snapped this quick picture! Beware I wear absolutely no make up in Hawaii! :)
After the Laie point we went to check out the surf competition going on at Pipeline beach! As we were walking into the resort the day before (Friday) we passed a bald guy carrying a huge trophy, later we found out it was Kelly Slater and he was carrying the winning trophy! So we were a little disappointed when were got to the beach and they were cleaning up. But we still got to see surfers surfing for fun and all the huge surf competition set up.
After going to Pipeline we drove around, got a smoothie, I showed him my favorite beaches as we beach hopped, then we went back to the hotel to get cleaned up for dinner. These were pictures I took throughout the day top row I took at Sunset beach, middle row I took at breakfast, and bottom row I took at Laie point! :) It was a wonderful first full day in Paradise as Mr. and Mrs. Hauck!!! :) The common phrase of the day from Jeff was, "I love Hawaii...I love Hawaii...I LOVE HAWAII!!!"
For dinner we went to Kahuku Grill, my Grandma Ah Quin's side of the family's grill! We went to see my family and most importantly to thank my Uncle Arthur for hooking us up! Well he wasn't there, but Max was and we ran into my friend Trey there too! It was great to sit and visit with them! They also gave us free food and said, "family eats free, we won't take your money" how amazing is my family? This picture didn't turn out good, at all, hahaha but we had to take a picture!
The next day was Sunday! I packed church clothes but Jeff didn't, so he wore a buttondown shirt, jeans, and flip flops! This is us all ready for church!
We went to my Uncle Kingsley's ward where he is the bishop! At the end of the meeting they sang this song as a congregation for a family that was moving out the ward. We thought that was so cool and we had to take a picture of the lyrics and the story behind it.
The church building was right next to the Laie Temple, so after we headed over to the temple to walk around and watch a video at the visitor's center. I didn't post the pictures, but in the visitor's center they had a Christmas Tree decorated by each ward in the Stake. Each tree had a theme having to do with the night Christ was born, so there were shepherd trees, angel trees, wisemen trees, a star tree, a Mary tree, a Joseph tree, and so on. I thought that was really cool! And each tree had a scripture as the description for the tree. It was beautiful. The rest of the day we just chilled and enjoyed Hawaii!
Monday we were up bright and ready! We headed to Waimea first thing in the morning. We were the first ones on the beach.
We were just enjoying the beauty, having fun writing in the sand, and Jeff was swimming when out of nowhere it started pouring!!! We waited a few minutes to see if it would pass but it just got harder, so we packed up quick and ran to the car. Once we were to the car we decided to head to the other side of the Island and have a Waikiki day!
Once to Waikiki we ate at Cheesecake Factory, one of Jeff's favorite restaurants. Then I talked Jeff into some shopping, where I further talked him into buying me some clothes that I "needed" (haha). After shopping we were pretty much pooped so we headed to the car and headed back where we drove through all of Waikiki and waited in traffic for at least 2 hours. It was fun to just go with the flow, we drove around with no destination. We packed yummy candies, some towels, and smiles on our faces and had another wonderful day in paradise.

The next morning I caught the gorgeous sunrise and had to take a picture!
This is a close up of the same sunrise! :) I'm a sucker for sunrises and sunsets.
I took Jeff to check out Haliewa, a cute little surf town full of surf shops. We just hung out there, had some amazing shrimp from Macky's shrimp truck, and a shave ice from one of the shave ice shops! I love Hawaii! We have the dream of moving there in the near future and I hope that we can make it happen! My mouth is watering looking at the shrimp and shave ice again...
Every time we got back to the room it was as if a reset button was pushed and everything was perfect again. How do I get that same thing to happen now to my house??? I had to take a picture because it was so great!
While there we were battling the weather a lot. It was still 80 degrees but the rain and wind was constant. This was the sunset that night, not the one I had hoped for but still absolutely gorgeous.
Our last day we wanted to get the most of it! So we decided to stay close and take advantage of the resort. So we spent the day going back and forth from the beach cove to the pool area while eating fresh fruit and catching rays. It was nice to just relax and soak up every moment.
All week I had been hoping for the sunsets I was used to and finally on the last day I got it! Isn't it gorgeous? What made this sunset even more perfect was sharing it with Jeff!!! Right before the sunset Jeff sang "Love Me Tender" while he slow danced with me. I will remember this sunset for the rest of my life, it was absolutely perfect in every way. I love you so much Jeff!!!
That same night my Aunty Tamara got us free tickets to the Polynesian Cultural Center night show, "Breath of Life." So after eating at "Surfer," one of the restaurants in the hotel, we ran to the PCC and enjoyed the night show. This was the Santa that greeted us as we got there. Nothing quite like the polynesian Santa surfing.

And that ended the last day in paradise for us. We didn't want to leave!!! :( But we are anxiously waiting the day we go back!

Honeymoon. Beginning.

We had SO MUCH fun on our honeymoon!
I didn't take a camera :(
BUT I had my cell phone!!!
So thank goodness for modern cell phones and instagram!
With that being said, let the honeymooning begin!

The night of our wedding we stayed here in St. George! Jeff's "Pa" from the trek he went on years ago manages at the Abbey Inn and so he gave us a night there as his wedding gift! It was so nice and a lot of fun! Then the next day we packed and headed to Las Vegas! Driving around that first day we got a lot of honks and we kept forgetting that our car said "Just Married" so we got all confused then we would laugh!

In Vegas we stayed at Mandalay Bay in an extremely nice suite! I should have taken pictures but I just didn't think about it! We went out and ate in the shops at Mandalay Bay and while out in the shops we ran into this little picture head popper thingy and had to take a picture. You can't see the bottom but it actually has a banner across the bottom that says "Just Married!" What happens in Vegas...

This is Jeff in the hallway of Mandalay Bay with our suitcase, all ready for the airport! We left the hotel at 6:30 am and took a cab to the airport. We parked at Mandalay so it could be free! Our flight was leaving at 8:30 and we wanted to make sure we didn't miss our flight to paradise!
This is us all checked in at the airport and waiting to board! We were feeling like grown ups right about now!!
Bottom right corner is us in the air well on our way! Once we landed we waited for our checked bag, caught a cab to our rental car, then headed to Turtle Bay on the north shore! I loved just driving through Hawaii and telling Jeff all about the local spots and memories I have there, then having the realization over and over that we are married and we are really in Hawaii together! Once we got to Turtle Bay we went and checked in, my Uncle Arthur got us a killer deal at the resort so that we could afford it! We were so blessed with his help!
My Uncle Arthur and Aunty Peggy didn't stop with just hooking us up with an insane deal, when we got to our room we got a phone call asking if they could bring up an "amenity". We said yes and they brought up these adorable tuxedo chocolate dipped strawberries with sparkling cider and a card from my Uncle and Aunty saying congratulations! We loved it and it made us feel so special! We ate it right away and had big smiles on the whole time :)

Then the Hawaiian adventure began!!!
