Weekly Shenanigans...

Weekly Shenanigans...
This last week we had special guest choreographers A.J., Chris, and Sarah come all the way from Las Vegas! It was a totally different style and an awesome experience.
We look forward to having them come back!
Teancum and Hannemann with the choreographers.
After they taught the master class they stayed and taught us a routine!
Friday the 27th was my Grandpa's birthday so we all gathered at the cemetary to celebrate and send our love to him.
 The family gathered around.
Birthday card and flowers, don't forget the Big Macs.
 More decorations.
Grandma making it look extra nice!
Then we all wrote a message on a balloon and sent it to heaven!
I'm serious about the P.S. grandpa!
 Me and my balloon.
My grandma accidentally let go of her balloon right after finishing writing her message so we all hurried and let go of ours!

Watching them get smaller and smaller.
Happy Birthday Grandpa! We all love and miss you like crazy!!!
 63 candles...
It was a beautiful gathering in honor of my wonderful grandpa!
Then Saturday we performed at Swiss Days then headed straight over to Janessa's baptism! Nice face Kali!
Beautiful baptism girl! After the baptism we supported Cec at her game then Hannemann at his!
I love my family and I'm so grateful that families are FOREVER!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day! :)

Let's play catch up...

Lately I've been playing catch up with life after my grandpa's funeral.
It's crazy how life has to go on even when you don't want to.
So here is a little catch up on what's been going on in my life!!!
This is way late but Cec is 20!!! I can't even believe it! Where does time go???
This big 20 year old wanted cheesecake!
We asked Trev's date to homecoming with some old socks (a little last minute and yes, homecoming is now over, I'm way late!)
Hiding!
I'm missing my grandpa like crazy. It still doesn't feel real but the fact is that it is! I've been listening to his cd like crazy and looking at old pictures. I love my grandpa!!!
 Isn't he the cutest??
Then homecoming came and I had a chance to celebrate 20 years of coaching to my old cheer coach! I love kitty! :)
I've been dancing like crazy and this is proof. Dancer problems. Sorry I know it's really gross but I couldn't believe how big it was!
This last weekend we were able to go up north and watch Trev's game at Copper Hills! He did amazing! Really, my brother is a stud!
We stayed with my Uncle Adam and had fun getting our baby fix! Jeff is so baby hungry! (He texted me yesterday and asked me to send him these pictures I took of him and the baby. When I asked why he said, "I don't know. I just want to look at them. Baby hungry I guess." Hahaha I love my husband!
He's always a hit with all kids!
 Syders!
Then my mom, grandma, and Syd all headed back to St. George while we all went shopping, ate dinner and headed to the BYU vs. UTAH game!
The long hike from the parking lot.
Nice and ugly cheesy picture! :) haha.

 I love my dad!!! :)

 Where's dad and Trevor??
It was an intensely disappointing game.
Who cares if BYU lost, it's the memory that counts.
Then lastly in photography class we've been having fun with light! :)
Maybe a little too much fun. HAHAHAHAHA.
Yeah, this is an awesomely awful picture of me haha. We have too much fun!

Anyway, I hope everyone has an awesome day! :)

The Legend of Naupaka.

This legend was told to me by my Grandpa when we first arrived in Hawaii for a family reunion a few years back.
My grandpa loved Hawaii and has so many special memories there.
He loved showing us things of his childhood and stories of his life and I loved it too!
I wish I could hear him tell me the legend again and I know one day I will.

The Legend goes like this...
A royal father separated his royal daughter and her commoner lover, condemning them to live forever apart...she in the mountains, and he at the seashore.
It is said that if the mountain Naupaka and beach Naupaka flowers are reunited, the two young lovers will be together again.
It's a beautiful story and I was reminded of it by Cec this last week as we were reminiscing on memories with grandpa.
So next time you are in Hawaii look for these beautiful flowers and unite the lovers again.

Beautiful Rememberance...

Yesterday was my Grandpa Ah Quin's funeral and it was absolutely beautiful.
I miss him so much and I have moments of strength and joy for him and other of tears and sadness but I know without a doubt that he is where he needs to be and that he is happy and out of pain with family and friends that love him.
Part of the reason I know this is because I have faith and the other is because the night he died we found lots of special notes in his planner/journal that were meant for us at that moment. One of those being this quote that my Grandpa wrote from a funeral that he went to. I took a picture of it so here it is in his beautiful hand writing...
This beautiful note brings a lot of comfort, especially as we had his funeral this weekend.
We had a viewing Friday afternoon followed by a family home evening and dinner at Golden Coral, one of my grandpa's favorites.
Then Saturday we have another viewing from 9:00 to 10:30 then the funeral started at 11. After the funeral we went to the cemetary for the burial then we had a special celebration, a concert for my Grandpa where we showed videos of him singing his songs and we had dance numbers and slideshows while we ate delicious food.
It was a special day celebrating my Grandpa's life and his graduation from this mortal life.
I am SOOO grateful for the righteous example my Grandpa was and is to me and I am proud to call him my Grandpa.
I love you eternally Grandpa.
Here are some special moments I captured from yesterday.
The day couldn't have been any more perfect. It was the type of day my Grandpa loved, bright and sunny!
We all had a chance to say our final goodbye and place our leis on his casket.

My grandma is so amazing and has been so strong through it all. Please keep her and all my family in your prayers.
My grandpa was buried right next to my cousin Tiera, who passed away 6 days after her birth.

 Eternal love that lasts forever.

 Families are FOREVER!!!
It couldn't have been a more beautiful day and celebration, really! I know he was there and that he loved it!
I love you Grandpa and I am so proud to call you my Grandpa.
Much love and aloha, until we meet again!
