What a day...

Well this stage is every bit as exhausting as everyone said it would be. I woke up at 5:15 to finish math homework, which took forever, but when it was finally done I got ready and headed out the door around 8 and just got home (9:30 in the p.m.) First it was getting books I sold on Amazon shipped out, then Institute (which I'm sooo excited about) then Math 1050, then volunteering at Dr. Hammon's office, then lunch with my grandparents, then a random meeting, then my Intro to Dental Hygiene class, then Nutrition, then a quick dinner, and now I need some serious sleep. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my day, it can just be exhausting!

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Institute was awesome! I love the gospel and I'm really excited about this class. It's on the Atonement and Repentance and Forgiveness (Higher Division Learning) that's just what it said, so that means deep stuff, which I love!
  • Shadowing/Volunteering at Dr. Hammon's Dental office. As part of the application for the Dental Hygiene program you have to complete all the prerequisite classes along with 100 hours of shadowing/volunteering in a dental office. So today I went in and just kinda learned the ropes and observed a cleaning. I have always wanted to do dental hygiene, but today I really learned that I really do want to go into dental hygiene! That was comforting and exciting! It was really what I needed to keep motivated.
  • Lunch with my Grandma and Grandpa Horlacher was definitely a highlight of my day! They had their little table all set up and they went out and got some gourmet Chinese food that was delicious. It was so nice to visit and hear stories from their life and just enjoy one another company. It was one of those times that you don't want to ever end. I could tell that they completely enjoyed having me over, and that they truly love me. That was a memory I will always hold dear to my heart, and I look forward to the many more lunch dates to come!
  • Dinner at Applebee's with Jeff was a highlight too! 1) I love being around Jeff. 2) I got the pleasure of enjoying a triple chocolate meltdown. 3) I was starved!
  • Then of course coming home and seeing my wonderful family and laying in my bed!
It definitely was a busy day but so much good came out of today and I know that I am so blessed! I love my life, and I really could not ask for more! What a day...
Me after my long day... Ha ha gotta love photo booth! Did I mention I am so blessed?

Happy Birthday To My Beautiful, Wonderful, Amazing, Inspiring, Loving Aunty Tia!!

I can't even believe that it was my Aunty Tia's 25 today! I remember all the times she'd hang out with us and have sleep overs with us, oh wait, she still does! :) That is one of the things I really admire about my Aunty Tia. She's never "too cool" for anyone, especially her nieces. I am so grateful for the wonderful example that my aunt is to me, she has one of the biggest, most sincere hearts ever! I know that I can always count on my aunt to be there for me. I always cherish the memories and the time I get to spend with My Aunty Tia. Memories such as having sleepovers, going to the city pool during the summer, helping to do chores at Grandma's house, going toilet papering at 1 in the morning, cruising around in the little green bug, going on awkward dates so she didn't have to be alone, watching and quoting "White Chicks" nonstop, dancing on Kalamity and Dixie Chix, playing with her kids and creating more and more memories. I am so grateful for my aunt and for the example she is to me! She has greatly influenced the person I am today and the person I am still becoming. I couldn't have asked God for a more perfect Aunty, Older Sister, Best Friend, and Role Model for me. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. I love you Aunty Tia and I hope this was a special birthday for you!

I'm New!!!

Well I've watched my amazing Mom blog for the last two years and thought that I should give it a go. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to learn. I'm starting a blog to better keep some kind of record of this exciting time in my life! But like I said before....I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING! For Christmas I had my Mom's blog published for her and it's an awesome scrapbook, journal, and time line all wrapped in one and so that's why I'm going to start my own! Wish me luck!!
