Blessed week!

This last week was so great!
I do have a confession, I have been slacking in using my DSLR and this week I've decided that's gonna stop!!! So don't mind my phone pictures.
Last Monday was my 23rd birthday and it was seriously so wonderful. I felt so loved, and what else could you ask for on your birthday?
The day started with breakfast in bed, thanks to my sweet husband.
Then lunch time my friends and family gathered at one of my favorite restaurants, The Habit, to surprise me for lunch. It is always a treat to be surrounded by loved ones while eating good food!
I seriously cannot get over how cute this little stinker is! Look at that face!
One more, because don't you just want to kiss the crap outta him???
Then I went home and took a nice long nap and woke up just as Jeff was coming home! He surprised me with these gorgeous flowers that smell as wonderful as they look. He knows me well.
He then took me to another one of my favorite restaurants, Anasazi where we enjoyed our steaks on the rock!
And they gave me a free cheesecake dessert for my birthday!
Then Jeff surprised me with a shopping spree at one of my favorite stores, TARGET! As if my Taylor Swift tickets (he gave to me early) weren't enough!!!! Speaking of the Taylor Swift Concert, it's coming up...only 1 month and two days away!
This was such a wonderful birthday and I was spoiled with love, time, attention, and gifts! Thank you everyone for making my birthday so special.
If you don't know by now, I'm a foodie. I like to make my food pretty and then I like to take pictures of it. This was a yummy pineapple habanero salmon salad with fresh apricots, plums, carrots, tomatoes, walnuts, corn, and baked beans with a poppyseed dressing. MMMMM :)
Jeff got off early Thursday so we started our weekend early with swimming and as Jeff says, "living the life..."
We've been having our 4:00 am rehearsals, getting ready for our last Kisses for Kycie benefit concert on August 14th. Sometimes after practice I like to wake Jeff up to go watch the sunrise with me, and although he doesn't love waking up early, he loves me and the pleasure I get from a simple sunrise.
We seriously live in an amazing world.
After our sunrise morning we came home, slept in a little longer, then hit the yard. I NEVER thought I would say this, but I LOVE yard work and gardening. However, my favorite part is sitting back after it's all done and admiring our hard work.
We spent our 24th swimming and barbequeing with my family and it was a blast! I love days like that.
Saturday morning my beautiful birthday flowers were going strong!
We had our annual splash mob in honor of National Dance Day and it was a blast! Every time we dance at the splash pad I can't help but reflect on the time I made the best decision ever, I said yes to marrying the most amazing man! If you want to reflect with me here is our wonderful proposal video and Kalamity's very first splash mob and our splash mob from Saturday!
Saturday's splash mob.
 Proposal splash mob!
That night my Kalamity fam bam performed at the NDD Zumba shindig at the Hospital parking lot!
I seriously love these people so much and I am so grateful for dance and the wonderful opportunities and lessons it has taught me.
Then Sunday we taught our primary kids for the last time and it was bittersweet. Earlier this week on Wednesday we had a surprise visit from the bishopric where they extended new callings to Jeff and I. We are sad to leave our primary kids but excited for this new change! I am now the personal progress advisor and Jeff is the deacon quorum advisor, so if you have any advice for us feel free to share.

However, this picture PERFECTLY captures each of their individual personalities...
Marcus is the sweet, shy little boy. Kamana'O is the moody and serious teenager in a little boys body. Abby is the "baby kitty" meaning she likes to act like a baby by repeating "mommy" and "meow" over and over; plus she can fake cry like you wouldn't believe. Jerzi is the all around sweet and good little girl that is always helping. Emmet is the wild random dance party kid that cannot sit still. Jackson is always trying to be best friends with Emmet and is always smiling or saying silly things. We are missing Rosemary (the quiet, "relaxing" surprised little girl) and Felicity (the Jeff crazed little girl that likes to think I'm Jeff's mom instead of his wife hahaha) in this picture but we will miss them as well.
I've been in primary since we've been married and it's been the perfect calling for me in this stage of life. I've learned so much about myself, my testimony, my parenting style, and the importance of primary in children's lives. This calling has taught me SO MUCH MORE than I ever taught my three wonderful classes. I'm sad to leave this calling but excited for what's to come.

I guess you could say it was an awesome and unexpected week full of fun.
I love my life and all the opportunities I have!

Celebrate good times...COME ON!

This week has been great!!!
Tuesday I came home to a heart attacked door from the young women in my ward! I think Jeff was even more excited than I was! :) It was cute!
Wednesday I went to see Cec at hair school where I enjoyed a scalp treatment and a pedicure! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY FOR FOREVER (the day she finally accepted her calling as a cosmetologist) she's been a natural and now she's going to get the certificate to get paid!!!
Wednesday my Kalamity family went to Kycie's viewing and then her funeral Thursday. It was a beautiful celebration of her life and she was absolutely beautiful.
This last week I've been enjoying stovetop smores, more than I like to admit.
Friday we (my family) were supposed to go to Glendale for our little family vacation, but decided to take a trip to visit Navy instead. He had a really rough third day and we felt we should go show him our love. It was a trip we won't soon forget: ghetto hotel, push the beds together, sketchy business going down outside, and lots of laughs.
It was good to see his cute genuine face and visit with him for a little.
We took our mini Trevor cut out to be with Navy while he recovers.
 Trevor watching over Navy!
After our visit with Navy we went to do a little early celebrating at The Cheesecake Factory!
MOM ... "Here let me take a picture of you guys."
ME ... "Jeff let's feed each other all romantic like."
This is his idea of romance hahahahaha :) I love him.
Sunday we went to Lauren Smith's farewell with my parents and after enjoyed a little walk around the pioneer buildings then took a nice scenic drive through Gunlock and Veyo.
 I love our spontaneous adventures.
I love his face in this picture! Doesn't he just look content?? :)
Sunday we had a nice family dinner and I was surprised with his awesome cake that Cec, Syd, and Angel made for me!
It was super cute and delicious!!! 23 candles for 23 years, CAN YOU BELIEVE I'M 23??? I can't!
 Wish making...
Then this is the sweet Instagram post I woke up to...
FROM JEFF ...
July 20, 1992 was the best day of my life. I was 3yrs old, and ~992 miles away, this beautiful girl came into the world. It's crazy to think about all the things that came together so we could be. Almost 17 years later I saw her for the first time and she's all I've seen since. Words can't express how blessed I feel to see your smile everyday, and that I get to grow old loving you more through every year. Happy birthday! @cambriairene #birthdaygirl

I feel so loved and spoiled already and I'm excited for the rest of the day! I am so blessed with friends and family that love me so much. I AM GRATEFUL, especially today, truly and deeply! I hope everyone has as great a day as I know I will!!!

Back to reality...and it was good!

Back to reality, real life, no more vacation...and it was good!
We have been gone constantly for the last month, so it was nice to just be home and back in routine for a minute!
Monday was the first night of our Kisses for Kycie Pizza Pie Cafe fundraiser and it was a blast! Of course we had to go flash mob and eat as a team!
If you weren't able to make it to the fundraiser, here is what you missed!
I really enjoy cooking but I don't always enjoy cleaning up the messes I make. I thought this lunch meal for Jeff was picture worthy! I have never been a salad girl, but when you add enough yummy things to your salad it's bound to be delicious right??? I also LOVED this pineapple habanero glaze on the salmon! My mouth is watering thinking about it now. I also like to make my plates look good, cause you eat with your eyes first right??
This calm week was accompanied with calm (not blazing hot) weather and cotton candy skies. I'm a sucker for nature's beauties.
Every Wednesday night you know where I'll be, ADULT HIP HOP at The Vault!!! No matter what I'm frustrated with, how I feel about myself, or whatever lame thoughts are filling my head, I always leave adult hip hop happy and free! Cheap therapy ($3) and IT'S A BLAST (a sweaty blast haha)!!!
Thursday night was the last night of our fundraiser for Kycie, so we HAD to go again! It was a fun night full of laughter and pizza!!!
After Pizza Pie Cafe I got spoiled :) a new watch and three pairs of shoes all under $50!!! Can't beat an Anne Klein watch for $20!
Friday I was Cec's practice dummy for her first set of acrylic nails! They turned out great and she is blowing my mind with how talented she is with cosmetology, this really is her calling!
Saturday morning our beautiful cause, Kycie Terry, passed away in her fathers arms with her mother by her side. I am so heartbroken for her family but so thankful for the Plan of Salvation and the knowledge that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER possible through our Savior, Jesus Christ!!! It's truly amazing to think about all the lives she touched in her short life, she changed so many lives and even saved lives through her story. She is amazing and I am grateful for the strength and faith she has given me. We will be putting together a benefit concert for her within the next month, so I'll keep you posted and hope to see everywhere there!!!
I wouldn't have known or been able to serve Kycie if it weren't for Kalamity! I'm so grateful for the blessing it is in my life! If you don't know what Kalamity is, watch this short video to get an idea of why I love it so much! PLEASE IGNORE MY HIDEOUS HAIR IN IT HAHAHA.
I know I haven't mentioned it before, but Jeff talked me into getting a gym membership and we've been going at 6 in the morning together for the last 2 weeks. I've always exercised through dance and sports but I haven't worked out in a gym since my sophomore year of high school. It's been fun to challenge myself again and remember all the different workouts I didn't know I knew. However, my favorite part is coming home after and seeing my beautiful flowers waking up.
I'm grateful for the Lord's creation of nature, flowers, grass, trees, etc and for the blessing it is to play around with nature and create something beautiful! I really can't tell you how much joy it gives me :)

Well I hope everyone has a BEAUTIFUL week! Squeeze your loved ones a little tighter, forget offenses, be quick to serve, and give your smile freely, I know that's what I'm going to try to do this week!!!

Laguna Beach 4th of July!

This last week was spent on the beach!
Laguna Beach to be exact, and it was great!
I didn't take my 6D on this trip, and I regretted it the second I got there! So enjoy my iPhone photos!
We got there early Thursday afternoon and scored the Penthouse suite! This was the panoramic view from our room!
We hurried, changed, and were on the beach in 2.5 seconds!
Football in one hand, and flip flops in the other!
 I love my Jeff!
  First night sunset!
After the beautiful sunset we made our way to Gelato Pardiso! This place was delicious and the line out to the street proved it!
Jeff got strawberry and double chocolate.
I got hazelnut dulce de leche! And it was foodgasmic :)
Friday morning we got dressed and made our way to a nice family breakfast at The Driftwood!
My man was too handsome to not take a picture of him!
 Love!
This restaurant overlooks the ocean and embraces the whole beach theme. I love all the windows letting in so much natural light!
I got the granola crusted french toast, with a hazelnut butter spread and fresh berries. It was delicious!
They had these mini Tabasco sauce bottles! They were ADORABLE, so I took one home hahaha. Isn't it so cute?
We spent the whole day at the beach then I talked Jeff into getting another gelato with me! This time I got hazelnut chocolate dulce de leche and it was on point!
Then we went back to our room balcony and enjoyed a very special sunset! One that both Jeff and I will never forget!!
 It was truly beautiful!
We took a few dorky pictures!
 And a few sweet!
I sure love this man!
One more of the gorgeous sunset.
The hotel view at night! I love the different lights and the colors they take on.
Saturday was the 4th of July and we were ready for another day at the beach!
Haha, why are we so weird?
We started our morning off with a nice walk up the coast!
Then we took more goofy pictures to send to my family!
Our beach crew! (Missing a few)
After an awesome day of the beach and paddle boarding, we had one last family dinner at Carmelitas! It was an hour wait and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait!
Jeff and I shared the burrito and the...
"Nacho Libre" corn (as Jeff calls it). Both were on the top food list!!!
Then we planted ourselves on the beach for the firework show!
We were spoiled to see 4 different firework shows all from the beach!
About 10 minutes into the firework show Jeff's dad got up and we caught the cue and headed out!
We drove all night and were home in time for Emilee's baptism!
It was a great cuzzie camp and we always love going!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!!!
