Sunday Funday then back to work...

This semester just started (couple weeks ago) and literally I'm counting down the days til it is over and I have my Associates Degree. It took me long enough but I don't even care, I still think it's a HUGE accomplishment!
To say I live for the weekends is an understatement, even if my weekends are busy too.
We have a show coming up on February 8th at Snow Canyon High School for Raylee. She is 9 and she has brain cancer. She has dreamed of going to Disneyland so we are helping to raise money for her and her family to go to Disneyland! If you can come and support we would love it!
Sunday we had a cousin's farewell to go to before our ward! Seeing how we have the same taste in clothes but don't live under the same roof anymore this happens quite a bit! :) She lucked out with me not wearing the same cardigan! Hahaha! Love matching!
(Emma Lee, Sophie, Leera, Emma, Major, and Emma) Lots of Emma's!
Then it was off to our ward to teach our new CTR 5 primary class for the first time. We walked into our third week in this ward when a member of the bishopric (I don't even know any of their names yet) was waiting for us at the door. He asked to speak with us in a classroom, extended this call, and we were teaching the next week. We have an adorable class!
As you can see Maj is in our class! He is so funny cause he still isn't sure how to act having is cousins as his teacher!
After Sunday it's back to the routine of early morning dance, school for 4 hours, then work! Don't get me wrong, I am richly blessed in all of these opportunities, I just really like Sundays! Hahaha!
This week we received 6 pallets of bedding to unload, clean, list, and ship!
The other two! Lots of work but the sunshine always makes it go by fast and enjoyable!
To top off this awesome random post my little brother is headed to Hawaii today with his friends for their senior trip! To say I'm jealous wouldn't do the amount of jealousy justice! He is going to have a blast! I can't help but think of the time I went to Hawaii alone and had one amazing summer!
Have fun Trev and BE SAFE!!!

Eye Exams, Game Nights, & Region.

Another action packed weekend.
Friday started off with my very first eye exam.
Let's just say I don't do good with things touching and shining in my eyes. Haha.
Haha there were definitely lots of laughs.
Later that night we headed over to my parent's house for a little dinner and game night action with Angel in town. No joke Jeff rolled this...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6!
The gang, plus my awesome parents!
Then Saturday it was off to Amy's region dance competition. (I only had my camera phone so please excuse the quality.)
They killed it! This was their military routine!
 Their dance category routine!

Last was Jeff's favorite, their character routine!
 Balliwood!
The Jetettes did so awesome! They took 1st in region and head off to state next week!
After all the dancing it was the Drill Down competition, this was my first drill competition so I had no idea what this was.
Amy did so good, I had no idea she could drill down like that. She kept going and going until she won!
All the supporters (minus Grandma Porritt).
After the 3 hour long competition we headed over to the Painted Pony to celebrate. It was mine and Jeff's first time there and it was exceptional! :)
In between all the fun we had we of course had our homework, grocery shopping, and cleaning!

I love my life and feel so blessed to have both mine and Jeff's families so close!!!

We love her!

We love this little girl!
She always brings a huge smile to my face.
This time we were eating some cake and ice cream when she runs over and wants on Jeff's lap.
She knew exactly what she wanted cause as soon as she was on his lap she started the "mmmmm mmmm mmm mmmmm mmmm" hinting that she wants some.
So I gave her some of mine and as soon as the spoon was out of her mouth she started with the "mmmmm's" again!
Jeff and I were getting a kick out of it!
Then I pull my camera out and she knew exactly what to do, so between her "mmmm's" and bites of cake and ice cream she would flash one of her adorable smiles for the camera!
HAHAHAHA :) we LOVE her!!!
First niece probs.

Doesn't she just melt your heart? :)
We can't wait for our own little piece of heaven!
If you can't tell...hahaha!

It's what we do...

School started and I'll be honest, it blows.
I don't know why I have "senioritis" so bad but I do.
But the fact of the matter is that I'm in school and I need to make the most of it.
Here's what we've been doing besides school...
Sundays Jeff and I watch this show on netflix and drool over all the yummy food. After watching "Sensational Sandwiches" we decided to go in the kitchen and have a little competition with whatever we had in our fridge, whoever could make the yummiest sandwich.
Here's mine with toasted wheat bread, mayo, salad dressing, pepper jack cheese, turkey, sauteed onions, mandrid oranges, and pickles. It was delicious! :) (and I won haha).
Jeff's was toasted wheat bread, mayo, onions, buffalo chicken, pepper jack cheese, and ranch.
 Both of the sandwiches! :)
 Got some new silverware! :)
And the pot rack I've been begging for! :)
And some beautiful leather couches for a KILLER deal! :)
We also had a date night with my parents! We went to the Robinson wedding then Jeff and I were dying to take them to The Habit to try their teriyaki char burger which is delicious and always meets my expectations!
 Jeff smile.
 They loved it!
Then there are those times when I find random sweets things that Jeff does and I fall in love even more. This is an old shoe box full of all the love notes, cards, and random gifts I've given him throughout the years of dating. I love that man! :)

Overall life is wonderful, even with school! I am so blessed! I hope everyone has a great MLK day!

Overwhelmingly blessed.

WARNING: This post shares details about female health.
Read at your own risk.
:)

I recently went to the Doctor to see what's going on with my body.
I haven't had a period in over 9 months and no baby.
Trust me, I've peed on way too many pregnancy tests with the same result every time.
Negative.
So naturally I worry that something may be wrong, and looking up my symptoms on the internet definitely doesn't help.
I went to a doctor 4 months ago, after not having a period for 4 months and the doctor gave me some progesterone pills to force me to have a period.
Well I took them and I didn't have a true period, only spotting.
I waited thinking, "Okay, that was just cause it had been a while since having a period. Next month I will have a true period." But still nothing 4 months later so we went back to see what's going on.
After going to the doctor we found out that it's definitely a hormone issue but we couldn't figure out which hormones without having lab work done.
We don't have insurance and we don't qualify for the voucher so we decided to hold on to the order form and save up some cash to go get the lab work done.

Yesterday morning Jeff checked the mail and handed me all the envelopes that had my name on them.
That's when we found this...
The exact amount for the first round of lab work needed.
I was overwhelmed with the thoughtfulness and love in this beautiful gift.
I wasn't supposed to know who did it but I have a really good idea and I hope they know how much I love and appreciate all of them and the love and support they always give me.
Life is sometimes hard, whether it be health, finances, emotional, the unknown, and lots of other hard things, but it's always easier when you have friends and family like I do!
I love you all and I am extremely grateful for your kindness!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I can't say thank you enough.
But one more never hurts...THANK YOU!
Count your many blessings.

Here's to the end to something great and beginning of something greater...

So here's what's been going on...
cause I'm behind again...
Sorry for the overload! :)
These two got married and we were able to be there to celebrate with them!
I truly have the sweetest husband on the planet! :)
I was slightly kinda mean to him all morning and this is the payback I get. He's always inspiring me to be better!
We went to Kiana's Christmas dance party and she was beautiful!
Kalamity's last year cause, Mighty Meg, passed away and I had the blessed opportunity of attending her beautiful funeral. As I wrote previously, Jeff's parents gave us $60 in honor of my grandpa to give away during the Christmas season so I decided to give some of the money to Josh, Meg's husband. In my family we always give money for funerals, along with weddings, graduation, baptisms, and other big events! Well I decided instead of sending a card with it I would just write a simple message and draw a cheesy picture of their penguins (I am not an artist). It's cheesy but it's little things like that that bring comfort to me!
Then we celebrated our 1 year anniversary! Photo strip is a tradition I plan to keep up and I'm so excited to look back on them one day!
Every year my family does the gingerbread house get together then we go to the Festival of Lights nativity up at Tuacahn! We look funny but we were warm! :)
Christmas Eve before going to spend the night at my parent's house we had Jeff's family party at Mom Hauck's house. Look who was invited! :) Emme loved him hahahaha.

Christmas day we got to talk to Elder Bradley Hauck for an hour and a half and it was so great! :) He is adjusting in Brazil and doing his best in everything!
While at work I listen to Pandora all day, every once in a while one of mine and Jeff's songs comes up and I can't help but take a picture and send it to him! I love him so much. Every time I hear this song I think of our last night in Hawaii while on our honeymoon, watching the gorgeous sunset, dancing while Jeff sang this song to me. It's one of those beautiful moments that is engraved in my heart and mind forever. How did I get so lucky?
Look how cool...I was tempted to buy it! :)
One morning I woke up to a beautiful warm light and feeling flooding into my living room so I jumped out of bed to look at the sunrise! It was gorgeous and I had a special moment in quiet watching the sunrise around our beautiful temple. Man I love my new place! :) Talk about a view!
Random hike with the hubby on top of the sugar loaf!
We like to think we are handy and take on random furniture projects! :) More pictures to come!
Isn't he handsome at work? :)
Then we decided to do some shopping around for a washer and dryer and found these babies! Killer deal for real leather, don't mind if we do! The deal was if I could sell our couches we could get them. So...
I took some quick pictures and posted it on the St. George Online Yard Sale and had some takers.
I miss them already but I'm excited for the delivery for my new couches tomorrow! I kind of wanted to cry. Haha :)
Oh and I've been decorating like crazy. This is an awful picture but I loved how they turned out and the best part was it was all recycled stuff around the house so it didn't cost me anything! :)
Well to sum up this randomly long post I just want to close by saying I love this man so much and with the new year I have a new optimistic view of life. (These last few months I've been in a little bit of a rut, but I have a feeling 2014 is going to bring great things!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Or as my grandpa would say...Hauole maka hiki ho...or however it's spelled! :)
