Enjoy the Sunshine!

Another week in the Hauck's home...
I had the fun privilege of babysitting these two cuties last week. It was therapeutic to walk in the sunshine to the park then to run around a be a kid. It's little moments like these that make life so beautiful and bright. I love these two and we had a blast!
Throughout the week Jeff and I tried to squeeze in the Parade of Homes. This is Marie Osmond's dream backyard with the dream view. One day!!!
We got distracted playing games along the way.
I could have stared at this beautiful stained glass window for hours, isn't it gorgeous???
Saturday Morning Jeff and I spent some time in the yard, and I loved EVERY moment of it. I also got to wear my cute new gardening belt that my parents got me for Christmas and I loved it!
This little beauty surprised me and you wouldn't have believed how excited I got haha. It's the simple miracles that get me, like a beautiful flower in bloom.
After spending time in the yard, me, my mom, Cec, and my Aunty Tia all went to hang out with my grandma for her 66th birthday! We spent the day hanging pictures on her walls, Cec gave her a pedicure, and then we went to visit Grandpa's grave. It's always fun spending time with family!
I took Sydnee's Preference pictures, first time I've taken any of her dance pictures. It was a lot of fun to meet some of her friends!
She took Britton to the dance and they had a blast!
Cec had the cool idea to take a detail shot of their shoes, and I love how it turned out! Super Cute!
Every third Sunday each month Kalamity and Kaos go and visit our friends at St George Rehab. This is sweet Viola and she loves "Crazy" Tia, if you can't tell. It always brightens my life when I get to go visit these sweet people, they help me to remember how blessed I am and how we need to cherish our health and strength while we have it. Make the most with your life while you can, you never know when something tragic will happen to you or your loved ones. Make each moment count.
Sunday night Brad finally popped the question and Emilee said yes. It was fun to be able to see their love start and then grown and now it's about to become eternal. So happy for them and their future! It was fun to be involved in the planning, set up, and capturing of this special moment in their lives.
So everyone mark your calendars for August and come celebrate their love!

I've had a lot of spiritual soul searching recently and I just want to remind myself and everyone that our wonderful lives and our eternities are all possible because of our loving Father in Heaven and our brother, Jesus Christ. If not for the plan of Salvation and the Atonement, we wouldn't exist, literally.
I hope everyone makes the most of this week!
Enjoy the sunshine, I know I will!

A whole bunch of mumble jumble!

What a week...it was so crazy I'm not even blogging til Thursday (if that tells you anything!)
Thursday we began the Haunted House set up!
Friday we had our third assembly this school year and it was a blast at Sunrise Ridge!
Then that night was our first night of our Haunted House fundraiser! This was our third year doing this fundraiser and it's always A LOT of work but also A LOT of fun!!! Luckily, we have an amazing family of Kalamity, Kaos, and Vault family that pulls together to put on a SCARY haunted house.
It was fun to have Brad be a part of it with Emilee! He's such a good boyfriend, he cut her leg off over and over, so sweet.
I'm so lucky to have such an amazing husband that supports me and is a part of everything we do. He played the creepy priest performing an exorcism (All fake of course!) It was funny cause he looked up a couple Italian words and chanted them like a crazy person. SCARY!!!
Abby our little dead person that was coming to life. Jeff's exorcism subject!
Scary!
Returning Molly as our tour guide! She comes out two nights a year and she is a little frightening.
Our awesome crew consisting of Kalamity, Kaos, Luci, Vil, Jeff, Brad, and the Flyer football boys!
Maze! Isn't he adorable even in a creepy mask? Hahaha!
Saturday night after the Haunted House we went to eat with Luci, Vil, Tia, and Andy and Luci was pooped hahahhahaha. Overall the fundraiser turned out awesome and we raised $2,030!!! We are so lucky to have Luci and Vil and let me tell you, they built so many props in two days, it was amazing!!!!
Sunday was Sydnee's 17th birthday! Where does time go???
Happy 17th birthday to my sweet, sassy, funny littlest sister Syd (aka Synee) I love the funny relationship we share!!! I love watching you grow up and mature and seeing the amazing person you are! You are quirky, hilarious, sweet, kind, calm, patient, sleepy, dinner-for-breakfast, rainy weather, amazing kind of person and I'm sure glad you're my sister!!!! I love you!!!
Art is kicking my butt but at the same time, it's so rewarding to be able to see your hard work pay off. It's definitely not perfect and it's not done yet, but it's getting there. The best part for me is knowing that it all started from a blank piece of paper and has developed from my own two hands. Crazy!

Tuesday night I taught the young women in my ward a few tips to getting better pictures. If you're interested in learning 5 tips to better photos check it out.
Wednesday nights are therapy for me. I love dancing and I never really realized it until this week. We've had a little break, so I haven't danced for like 2 weeks and it was so refreshing to  dance again last night. During our break we all wrote letters as to why we wanted to be a part of Kalamity and what it means to me. I've been doing Kalamity for 6 years now and sometimes people think I'm crazy; crazy for dedicating so much time, for doing so many things for free, for waking up at 4 in the morning to practice, and for just being busy giving service. However, I want to share my letter to remember and for others to know how special it is to me...

Dear Kalamity,

First off I just want to say, “THANK YOU!” I have so much I want to say and I’m sure it won’t come out right but I will try my best. Being a part of Kalamity for over 6 years now there’s so many directions I could take this, but my overall goal in this letter is to express how much you mean to me and why I need you in my life. In my 23 years of life I feel I have truly began to find and understand myself within the last five to six years, and I know that you have had a big part in that and I am truly grateful.

Before having you in my life I never thought of myself as a selfish person, however, I have had my eyes opened to how much I thought only of myself and never really took the time to think of other’s and the struggles going on in their lives. I never took the time to realize how blessed I am, and since you, I’ve had many realizations of blessings I took for granted before. Having you in my life has helped me stay grounded in this life and in myself. I have seen children suffer with incurable diseases, mothers lose their children, hearts that needed strengthening both physically and emotionally, cancer in many different forms, sick kidneys and people willing to donate theirs, teens being bullied, fathers passing unexpectedly, life altering brain injuries, diabetes change and even take lives, and I have even lost a loved one along the way. As I’ve watched each cause carry their burdens with hope and strength, it always reminds me to look up, up to my Father in Heaven and brother Jesus Christ. I’ve seen how you have looked up in search of ways to best uplift each cause in their hardest time of life and I’ve admired as you seem to find the right way to help every time.

I’ve not only had my heart touched by the causes you’ve been able to serve, but by the amazing people that have been a part of your team with each cause. I love seeing people come in with a fire and I love seeing what each person adds to your family. I’ve seen children learning of the cause and excited to give through their talents, I’ve seen talented dancers from all walks of life come and dedicate themselves fully, I’ve seen mom’s find themselves through fitness and gratitude then give back everything they have, I’ve seen sports teams get outside their comfort box, I’ve seen husbands support their wives fully as they sacrifice for the cause, and I’ve seen so many others give through food, time, planning, organizing, giving, and so much more. Most importantly, I’ve seen people find themselves by losing themselves in this service journey, I know I’ve found myself time and time again along this journey.

Of course I’ve had times when I’ve been ungrateful and lost sight of this beautiful journey, but that’s why I need you. You always help me to realize who I am, what I’m capable of, and how blessed I truly am even when I feel otherwise. I know you know that I struggle with depression and I know you know how badly I want to start a family, and you help me to be strengthened in my trials by just letting me be me and encouraging me to give a little more. This last year has been especially hard and I sometimes think that without you I would give into my “hermit” tendencies and stay home forever. I don’t mention these to be a downer, but to let it go and hopefully lift a burden on my heart. So before I close this letter I just want to say that I know I am so blessed and today I am extremely grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the atonement of Jesus Christ and the hope it gives me, the knowledge that I am a child of God and have a purpose here in this life, my incredible husband that loves and supports me in EVERYTHING I do, a family that makes me feel special and loved constantly, all my material and temporal objects that sustain my wonderful life, my Kalamity, Kaos, and Vault family, and I am especially grateful for you and for the role you play in helping me reach my potential.

I know I haven’t said everything you have seen in my life and every beautiful thing we’ve learned together because if I had we would be here forever. So in conclusion I just want to say thank you again! I know you don’t always get thanks from those closest to you, but I really am thankful for you and for the blessing you have been in my life. I hope you know that I am always here for anything you need, I will always give everything I can to help you succeed in your journey of service. If I don’t have the tools to help, you better believe I will find them or try to develop them myself because I believe in you and the beautiful work you do. I love you and hope you know it! Thank you for loving me.

Love Always,

Cambria Irene Horlacher Hauck
Lastly, SAVE THE DATE for our awesome upcoming benefit concert for Byron!!!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful and fun night that you won't want to miss.

L.I.F.E.

Happy week.
Last Monday my aunt stopped by with this cute necklace and a book, and let me tell you, she was inspired. A few days before I had been saying how I felt like I had no hope (with a couple situations in my life) and then she dropped this by a day later (without knowing how I was feeling.) Yeah, the Lord knows me and loves me and because she listens to the spirit, my spirit was uplifted.
I am so blessed!
It's officially Fall, and I am all about Fall sunflowers.
Art continues to push me in ways I didn't realize I could be pushed. I never thought I would be drawing with my own hands (haha) but it's actually a lot of fun! Although I'm not good at drawing, I am having fun trying.
We are back at our assembly and taking it around to all the schools! It's so rewarding to take an uplifting message in a fun and memorable way to kids. I love hearing their little giggles and seeing their enthused eyes as they watch us share our message through dance! Click on the picture to get an idea of what our assembly is all about.
Friday night Dixie upset Desert Hills in their Homecoming game. Jeff is an awesome coach and I love watching him do his thing.
Saturday was Swiss Days and my awesome family came to support us!
I love my ladies! Aren't they all beautiful???
My number one supporter!
We had a special surprise from Byron and his family. As my aunt was telling about our cause she spotted him and his mom in the third row. They saw we were performing on Facebook and decided to come and watch. It was a beautiful moment that I will remember forever.
With the holiday season around the corner, I decided to do a giveaway!
Mini family session giveaway!!! Just in time for Christmas cards! Here's how you enter...like @cambriahauckphotography on Instagram and Cambria Hauck Photography on Facebook then tag 3 friends!!!! It's that easy! For an extra entry share this photo! Winner will be announced next Saturday!!! Good luck!!!
I love coming out of church to this beautiful view. How lucky are we to live in the shadow of the temple?
Sunday was my grandpa's 65th birthday!
I can't help but cry when I see that beautiful smile! It's crazy to think that 4 short years ago I took this picture after giving him his favorite "Hawaiian pizza". A lot can happen in 4 short years. I love you and miss you every day. "...today is a gift, that's why they call it the present."
Sunday night was the amazing super moon lunar eclipse AKA blood moon, and it was beautiful. What's even more beautiful is seeing it next to the St. George Temple and realizing they are both of God.

Well it was another great week, I'm feeling the weight of school and life but it's all going to be worth it! I hope everyone has a beautiful week!

Glimpse at us.

This week was all kinds of crazy!!!
Six photo sessions in one week (three of them in one day), wedding preparation, and school wrapping up all total CRAZY CAM.
Yeah, I've been running around constantly and I'm still trying to catch up.
Anyway, in the midst of all the craziness, I still make sure to take time to enjoy life...
Hence the waffles and a little photo session for us.
I was craving Waffle Bliss all week so I looked up a recipe and decided to make my own. I really enjoy cooking and baking but don't always have the time to try new things, so I decided I'd make a little time and try something new. They turned out great, as far as I'm concerned, and I dressed them with peanut butter, crunchy cookie butter, syrup, whip cream, and strawberries (what wouldn't taste great with all those yummy toppings???)
Here's the recipe I followed:

prep time: 4 hours
cook time: 5 minutes
yield: 10 waffles
serving size: 1 waffle
waffle love is an incredibly popular waffle truck in utah and now you can make their famous liege waffles from home!
ingredients
  • 3/4 cup whole milk, scalded and cooled to warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons water, warmed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 large eggs, lightly whisked
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2-1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups belgian pearl sugar (we buy ours from orson gygi)
instructions
  1. add the 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar to the milk and water and add the yeast, stirring to combine. allow the yeast to proof, or get foamy and puffy.
  2. in a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugars. add the eggs, honey and vanilla. stir together and add the yeast mixture. place in a standing mixer with the dough hook and add 2 cups of flour. mix until the dough is thoroughly incorporated, and add the remaining flour, cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest for up to 4 hours on the counter, or up to 24 hours covered with plastic wrap in the fridge. the dough will need to sit on the counter and come back to room temperature to use. then punch down and knead in the pearl sugar. separate into 8 to 10 balls and place on a hot, greased waffle iron. cook until golden brown and serve with biscoff, whipped cream and fresh berries.
notes
need to skimp on the rise time? no biggie, though you will lose some of that awesome flavor.
Cec has been learning about photography and asked if she could take pictures of us! Of course I said, YES, because I believe you can never have too many pictures.
For her second photo shoot I'd say she did pretty dang good!
We decided to capture our every day attire and every day life.
If you know us, you know that I am often found with a plaid shirt around my waist...
...and Jeff in his favorite band t-shirts.
Jeff is always singing wherever he goes and plays the guitar any chance he gets.
We are always laughing and goofing around.
And we are just straight up goobers! So in capturing all of those things Cec did awesome!!!
Be prepared to see more, these are just a few!
Speaking of Cec, we have been wedding crafting (little last minute) all week as well and we are down to 12 DAYS!!! WHAT???? Where does time go???? Anyway, we are having an open house bridal shower that EVERYONE is invited to! We will just be giving her some last minute advise, embarrassing her with some sexy lingerie, and calming some last minute stressors!
We hope to see you all there!
