Vera & Ayva's Nursery

Decorating the girl's nursery was the hardest room I've ever decorated...SERIOUSLY!
Here's why...
1. I've always dreamed of decorating a nursery and after years of infertility you set your expectations to PERFECTION (everything has to be perfect, or so you think.)
2. I have way TOO MANY ideas and can't narrow it down to one theme or one color scheme.
3. I wanted it to speak about their personalities and their likes but OBVIOUSLY I don't know them like that yet...
4. Oh and did I mention I wanted it to be PERFECT?? Yeah, kinda ridiculous of me.

Anyway here is their nursery and I LOVE IT!!! It's colorful, full of patterns, and 100% inspiring to me. It holds many treasures and emotions and years of hopes and dreams! It's magical to me and I hope it inspires them as well.
Their names and their name meanings below.
 Bows and bibs for days!
Yes it has the lived in look (HAHA) but that's exactly what we're doing so I don't mind sharing our lived in lives...a little cluttery and unorganized in places, but definitely lived in with love.

Wallpaper stripes, a project I was nervous about but LOVE how it turned out!!! I didn't want to wallpaper the whole wall so we added a chair rail to break it up and add more texture. I also had a lot of yarn detailing on pillows, lampshades, and curtains, so I added yarn stripes to the wallpaper wall and I love how it turned out.

We got this seashell wall art for the girls on our "babymoon" in Hawaii!

Lots of colors and textures just how I like it!
I wanted a little reading corner where we can read to our sweet girls and I love how it turned out!
Before the girls were here we would come in this room pretty much every day and just sit and talk and read together and it was beautiful. Now being able to enjoy the room with our girls is a beautiful experience.
We have two babies so of course we each needed a chair to rock our sweet girls in.
Our faces say it all...WE ARE TRULY LIVING OUR DREAM!
 I love my family!

I love seeing Jeff be a dad! He was amazing before but seeing him as a daddy takes him to ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Pregnancy Update!

Pregnancy Update:
I will be 31 weeks pregnant with twin girls TOMORROW!!! Where does time go???
I had an ultrasound today and all is well:
- My cervix is still over a 3, which is GREAT! We want it to stay above a 2.5
- Baby A is 3 pounds 10 ounces
- Baby B is 3 pounds 3 ounces
(WE HAVE NAMES that we will be announcing this week!!!)
- They are both breech right now but there is still hope for them to flip.
I had a REALLY rough week full of sickness. I caught a 24 hour flu that had me puking, which I NEVER PUKE. Then I caught a nasty cold that I'm still trying to get over. I cannot breath due to stuffiness on top of the babies cutting off my air supply. I'm not going to lie, I did cry the other night from being so miserable with the stuffiness, lack of oxygen, achey back, sore throat, and mild fever BUT Jeff took care of me and got every remedy possible for me. THANK GOODNESS FOR HIM!
I'm in crunch time of nesting and getting things ready for the girls to come! I know in a couple weeks I will not want to move my body anywhere so I have to get it all done now! LUCKILY, I planned ahead and got the nursery ready early.
THANK GOODNESS for all my maternity clothes from Pink Blush or else I would be naked all the time (HAHA I laugh but it's true.) I'm larger than I ever imagined and am only getting larger. I've gained a total of 36 pounds so far in pregnancy and am really feeling the swelling. Shop my specific shirt and all their other cute clothes, one thing I've learned is how important it is to dress yourself like you love yourself, ESPECIALLY when pregnant!!!
Anyway, I'm doing great and have been SOOOO BLESSED my whole pregnancy. I would gladly do it all over again and again and again and again...it's been a true miracle and I'm grateful.

STAY TUNED because we will be announcing our names and our baby shower is this weekend, WHICH I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT!!! I will also be posting our full nursery reveal! Thanks for all your love and support! We are truly grateful!

6 Things I Couldn't Understand Before Getting Pregnant.

Things in pregnancy, specifically twin pregnancy, I never could have understood before getting pregnant...
 1. Uncomfortable doesn't even describe the true level of discomfort! My back has ached in places I never knew could ache. Laying down doesn't give relief like I feel it should. Sitting for too long fires up those achey spots on my back. IT'S BIZARE!
 2. Large is an understatement! Now that I'm in the third trimester I wake up every day in amazement at how much bigger I am every day...(maybe I didn't really get bigger overnight, maybe I'm just shocked to see myself again haha.)
 3. In order to do things you normally do you have to get a little creative. For example, to do dishes I face the side, I use my toes for grabbing and gathering stuff on the ground, I utilize my husbands help too much HAHAHAHA sorry babe.
 4. Pregnancy glow is real...BUT only depending on how you feel about yourself and what's taking place with your body. I've noticed that I truly glow when I am excited and in wonder at the miracle(s) taking place in my body. Yeah things are changing DRAMATICALLY, yeah I have a lot more stretch marks than I did before, and yeah my breathing is loud all the time and very pug like...BUT I really feel beautiful and amazing and I know that brings out the glow.
 5. Pregnancy is hard and it takes some serious mental strength! Keeping a grateful journal and setting little daily goals along with positive affirmations (thanks Aunty Tia for the grateful journal training!) can take any hard day and turn it into a day you can CONQUER!!!
6.  I AM A SUPERHERO!!!! How incredible is it that a living human being is growing inside me, and not just one but TWO!!!??? It's truly amazing! No matter what discomfort, not so pretty cosmetic body changes, and hard days come I am a true super hero and my body is doing something truly God-given! There is a plan for us and procreation is part of that miraculous plan for his daughters!
I'm so grateful for this blessing of experiencing pregnancy and CANNOT wait to meet my little angels!!!
I hope this post gives some perspective and hope! Thank your mom today for their HUGE part in bringing you here!!! You wouldn't be here without them you know! Thanks for reading!

Twin Pregnancy Highlights So Far

I've never been pregnant with a singleton so I don't have anything to compare this pregnancy to, HOWEVER here are some things going on with my twin pregnancy and some of the highlights!
Sickness in the first trimester was pretty constant but I was used to it then that I didn't realize it!
I had that constant sick to my stomach feeling with no desire to eat any food (which is very bizarre for me haha.)
Feeling them both move at the same time is truly MAGICAL! It's crazy that just in their movements I feel like I get to know each one on an individual level already... I will never understand just how amazing it is!
Back pain started earlier on than I had imagined and I know it is nothing to what it will be! I cannot sleep without my pregnancy pillow and lots of other pillows around. I had my first prenatal massage and it was AMAZING, however I realized I had more knots than I even knew.
My breasts have already doubled in size and it makes me scared for when milk comes in cause I hear they double again!!! EEEEEK!!! I already have a maternity bra that I wear 24/7 in hopes of less sag when they go back to normal size hahaha.
It's true what they say about 2nd trimester... you really do feel so great and have more energy! I'm now reaching the point where my stomach gets in the way and the idea of picking things up off the ground is painful haha. With my growing stomach I feel so blessed to have so many maternity clothing options in today's day and age! This cute dress is a Pink Blush Maternity dress and I LOVE IT!!!
HOWEVER, with each change in my body, each ache, each pain, each "fun" pregnancy symptom, I FEEL SO BLESSED!!!! I've loving pregnancy and the miracle taking place! I feel more beautiful than ever before and often find myself in awe that my body is growing two beautiful little girls!

Life is a gift and the ability to create life is truly a MIRACLE!!!
Don't forget it :) Take a moment today to really enjoy the miracles taking place around you each day!

Bigger + More Beautiful Than Ever

It’s the weirdest thing...
I’m heavier than I’ve ever been, my underwear is tight and causes a muffin top at times ðŸ˜‚, and I never wear makeup anymore due to lack of motivation BUT I’ve never felt more beautiful! Isn’t that crazy??
Infertility + pregnancy has made me realize that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder and there is beauty and things to admire about yourself in every stage of life.
During infertility struggles I too often focused on negative things about myself when I should have taken time to be grateful and loved my “beauty” in the struggle. So whatever stage you’re in take a minute to write out 3 things you find beautiful about yourself! Ready...GO!
 1. I love seeing my tummy grow, it truly is beautiful to me!
 2. I love how strong I am in all situations... I've been raised to believe I can handle anything through my Savior and I truly believe it with my whole heart!
 3. I feel the "pregnancy glow" in full effect and it truly makes me feel beautiful!

So coming up with three things is harder than it may seem, but you are WORTH IT so take the time to list three things!!!!
