Full Fledge Wedding Planning Status.

Well as most of you know, I am in full wedding planning force.
I know for me, I didn't fully understand everything that goes into a wedding. Haha.
Oh, and I'm soo happy! :)
The list just goes on and on of things to do to prepare for the wedding day.
Like: pick a date, get a reception venue, pick your colors, schedule the temple, call a sealer, find a photographer, set up engagements, get an announcement design together, flowers, choose your bridesmaids and groomsmen, figure out what they are going to wear, find a caterer, entertainment, reception decor, the wedding cake, get announcements made, gather addresses, send out announcements, schedule a doctor appointment, find a wedding dress, find a veil, figure out the shoes you are going to wear on your wedding day, his ring, the cake knife, pick out engagement picture outfits, and a bunch of other little things.
Did I mention I'm a very indecisive person?
(Kinda makes me want to pull my head off like this hahaha!)
Yeah...little bit of a problem. Haha.
That's only having to deal with the wedding, that doesn't even begin with the after wedding planning.
Like: where to live, what things you will need for your future to register for, what you can afford with your budget, what both of your plans are, the honeymoon, car situation, space situation for all my clothes, and other things.
I will admit that the 3rd day after getting engaged, when I sat down and actually started thinking about this stuff I had a melt down.
I was overwhelmed.
But I took a deep breathe and relaxed and reminded myself that this only happens once and I needed to enjoy it.
I wanted to enjoy it.
So that's what I've been doing ever since!
My natural state is a worry wart that wants everything perfect and stresses if it's not.
I know, that's not healthy.
But I'm learning and growing every day!

How about a little update on the wedding plans, yeah?
Our date is 12/12/12, a super epic date and I am soo excited about it!
I didn't get the venue I had wanted because someone is having a Christmas party there that night and they don't want to switch. Jeff called and begged, what a sweetie :) haha I was really sad about that one but oh well, life goes on! So our reception will be held at the Ivins Stake Center, and now planning for it there, I don't think we could have anywhere else big enough for what we want so it works out perfectly! And the best part is that it's free! :)
My colors are red, turquoise, and mustardish yellow.
I'm running with the 12/12/12 date and adding little details of 12 everywhere! Starting with 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen! Call me crazy! :)
My photographer is Funny Face Photography and they have beautiful work!
Sneak peak...
I'm in love with them so far! We took them yesterday and it was so much fun!
Along with the photographer we chose we got a photobooth! YAY!! I wanted a photobooth so bad and this one is the best I've ever seen. The photobooth will take care of the sign in book, and party favor! Legit right? :) Check out the photobooth here.
The feel we are going for for the reception and everything is vintage modern? Haha something like that.
I've turned my front room into a wedding decor room, lots of vintage items!
My wedding cake is going to be absolutely gorgeous thanks to my friend Blanca! Check out her work here. It's going to be 4 tiers with a different flavor on each. Decorated with ruffles, pearls, flowers, and beautiful hand-crafted details. Blanca is seriously so sweet, she is giving me the cake as a wedding gift. Can you believe that? I've been blessed left and right. That seriously saved me $1,000 at least.
Wedding dress!!! I am soo excited about this...I'm wearing my Mom's wedding dress! It's absolutely perfect and what I wanted. I told my my that I wanted a fitted lace dress with pearl detailing and either 3/4 or long sleeves. She replied with, "well you should look at mine, it sounds exactly like you just described." I looked and fell in love! Why didn't I think of that in the first place! I'm not going to post pictures cause I want it to be a surprise! You all will love it! It's totally vintage and absolutely gorgeous! :)
Entertainment...so people here in St. George have no idea what this wedding is going to be like. My aunts are in charge of the entertainment, there will be some traditional polynesian dancing with me doing the Hawaiian wedding song dance, mixed with some other treats! I'm so excited!
My grandpa will be singing at my wedding! He is our official wedding singer! He will also be singing mine and Jeff's song!
That's just a few of the big plans I'm making.
The funniest thing is, that of all the big plans I've been making, the most stressful has been the decision of what to wear for engagements. Haha I'm a diva sometimes!
I hope you all are as excited as I am! :) This is going to be an amazing day!!
I seriously cannot wait to marry my best friend, and one of the most amazing people ever! I love you Jeff!!! :)
Stay tuned for more wedding planning and if you have any ideas you would like to share with me, I would love it! :)
Taken after our engagements! We are soaking but so happy! :)

Along with wedding planning, I'm taking 13 credits in school, working about 20 hours a week, planning a service project every month for my church calling, and teaching and dancing in between. A little busy but I'm enjoying it all!

P.S. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about birth control, so if you have used it or have any information about it please let me know. You can email me at cambriairene@gmail.com! :) Thanks!!

The "Splash-mob" Proposal.

The "Splash-mob" Proposal
 : Jeff's Perspective :

I woke up the morning of September 8, 2012 feeling surprisingly calm and relaxed.  After all, I had already done the hardest part (talking to her Dad) 5 days earlier.  I had spent the week plotting a "Splash"mob surprise proposal with Cambria's aunt Tia, who choreographed an awesome routine and recruited a mob of dancers for me!  But I really had no idea what to expect. The first thing I did after waking up was pray, prayed that everything would go as planned, prayed that the spirit would be with me, and prayed that she would say yes!  I turned to one of my closest friends, my Martin guitar, as I always do when I have a lot on my mind and played a few of my favorite songs.  The last song I played was the one i wrote for her.  As I sang the words, I looked at all the pictures of the beautiful memories I had with the girl that changed my life.  My heart was full.

At exactly 10:03 my awesome brother-in-law Shaye, who is a phenomenal videographer showed up at my house with his film crew (Kyle Fisher).  We made arrangements that they would film the special moments the day had in store, and use his mad skills to make a video!  I got dressed in my suit, and after filming a few shots, went to the Vault to help move the stereo equipment to the Splash-pad.  Everyone did so much to help me, Andy Stokes, Garret Brent, and Alexa Ford (Brent) helped me get all the stereo equipment loaded into some cars and we drove them to the Splash Pad at town square.  After quickly setting everything up and running over the plan one last time I had to hide.  I missed Cambria and her family by minutes, if you know Cam, she is ALWAYS early to everything!  We had a good 30 minutes before the Splash Mob would begin, so me, Shaye, my sisters Amanda and Stephanie, and Kyle chilled in my moms mini-van across the park watching a crowd form around the splash pad.  As the time came closer, my sister got my mom on the phone (My Mom and Dad were in Cabo for the week) and gave her an update and agreed to give them a play-by-play of the whole proposal.  With 2 minutes to go, The film crew was in place, and I was crouching down behind a wall waiting for the music to begin.
At 12:15pm the words of mine and Cambria's first song filled Town Square.  It was time!  I got to my feet, signaled Shaye that we were rolling, and began the walk towards the mass of dancers and the loud music ahead.  On the steps of the clock tower, I could finally fully see and appreciate what was in front of me.  Hundreds of people, including 40-50 dancers filled the Splash pad and the lawn surrounding it.  I had not expected so many people to show up, it was awesome!  Almost instantly, I found what I was looking for.  She was dancing at the front in a colorful leopard print tank-top, with her big beautiful smile and killer dance moves on full display. It was amazing how my heart took over from there.  Almost automatically, I walked to the back of the group of dancers and waited there for an opening to walk through. With the song winding down, I knew it was time to do it.  I nodded to Shaye,

and began working my way through the mob, eyes locked on the most beautiful girl I will ever see.   There she was, dancing full-out, soaking wet, with her most beautiful smile.  I just stood and looked at her for a minute, two feet behind her, but she had no idea I was there.

Finally, I reached out for her and pulled her in to face me.  Her face was priceless, completely shocked.  She asked me "What....? What is this?"  My reply was not rehearsed, it came straight from my heart.  I dont know exactly what I said, but it sounded something like this from my memory.  "Cam, you know you are the best thing to ever happen to me right? You are the only thing I will ever see, and I can't wait to keep you forever.  I love you so much..."  Cambria hugged me and kissed me before I could say anything else.  But there really wasn't anything else to say.  As soon as my knee hit the ground, cheers erupted from the girls around me. I struggled for a moment to get the awkwardly shaped silver Neil Lane ring box out of my pocket.

I don't know if Cam even heard me say "Will you marry me?"  And I'm not sure I ever heard an answer. I was on my feet and we were kissing again before I knew what hit me.  In hindsight, pulling out a REALLY nice engagement ring over a draining grate was probably not the best idea. Luckily I got the ring on her finger without a catastrophe.  Some time in all the excitement, the water had turned back on, and I was getting soaked.  But honestly, I did not care at all.  I just held and kissed my future bride for as long as I could.

I don't really remember anything that happened after that... Lots of wet hugs and pictures, My sister gave me news that my mom was bawling on the other end of the phone, I even got a big group hug from all the dancers haha!  But all I really wanted to do was hold her in my arms, and not let go.  And now, we are going to be sealed in the Temple for time and all eternity so I won't ever have to!

It has not even been a week since the proposal, and we already have a date set and so many amazing plans for the start of our beautiful future together.  I am so thankful to everyone who helped and everyone who came out and was part of the Splash-mob.  I love you all!

To my beautiful Fiance, I want you to know how completely and fully I love you.
I can't wait to make you mine forever...

Guess What...I'M ENGAGED!!!

So if you didn't know yet, I'M ENGAGED!!!
(This was taken the day after all this magic happened! Picture captions will be in purple.)
To the sweetest, most handsome, loving, funny, spiritual, honest (except for this surprise), fun, smart, soooo many other wonderful things, but above all...Perfect for me guy!
If you follow my blog this isn't the first time you're introduced to him.
For a refresher click here

If you don't know how he proposed, well you are in for a treat because I will tell you.
Saturday, September 8th, 2012 is the date of the proposal.
This may take a while to tell, but I hope you enjoy it!!!
 ...
 (Enjoy!)
That morning I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and got ready for dance.
Dance got done around 7 so I called Jeff and ran over to see him for a little because he had to "work" all day and I wanted to at least see him that day.
We cuddled, cleaned a little, and mostly just talked. He said he wished he didn't have to work and that he could be at the "splash mob" that day. I said I understood.
(My aunt and all my dance siblings told me that the city asked us to do a flash mob at the splash pad as a end of summer, beginning of school little celebration. Hence the "splash mob." Keep in mind that we are always asked to do flash mobs for random events so I didn't think anything of it.)
After leaving Jeff's house I headed home to get ready for the splash mob and do chores.
I sang and danced around my house while doing my chores, acting like a crazy person.
I decided not to shower cause we were going to be getting wet in the splash pad and I planned to come home and lay out and swim all day, so I just threw on a tank top and shorts and a hat.
My mom asked if I wanted to drive over with them and I said yes, Jeff couldn't come and I didn't want to use unnecessary gas.
We got to the St. George townsquare splash pad and as soon as we get out of the car I look around at all the kids and families playing and said, "Man, these people have no idea what's coming today. This flash mob is going to be awesome!"
Talk about irony in my words, haha.
My family laughed but I just thought they were laughing at me, cause I always say funny things haha.
Just joking.
(Right after I got out of the car!)
But we go over and start playing in the splash pad, waiting for it to start.
I had little girls clinging to my side, more than usual, but I didn't think anything of it.
Then the music starts.
It's mine and Jeff's very first song, two is better than one by boys like girls, but I didn't realize it cause it was an upbeat version and I just thought the city had picked it.
Oh yeah, my Aunt didn't tell me what song we were doing the splash mob to. Every time I would ask she would say that the city was just going to play a random song. I didn't question.
I learned to always question everything through this surprise, haha.
I was dancing my little heart out, having a blast.
We had arranged that each teacher would take a turn leading the splash mob in the center so when it was my turn I headed to the center.
(Turns out there was a professional photographer there and she captured some priceless moments! I am soooo grateful for them!)
I went through it once and was on my way moving out when my Aunt pushed me back to the middle.
My thought was, "I just had a turn in the middle, why is she pushing me back to the middle? Oh well, I'm having fun!" It really wasn't that unusual that she pushed me back to the center cause we like to joke around a lot and I love mosh pits so when random music is on we will pretend to mosh. Haha.
We have too much fun, okay? :)

(Check out my Aunt's face haha classic! And she knew it was coming haha!)
Well I'm dancing, having a blast when I bump into someone.
I just keep dancing.
Then this person turns me around and I realize that it's Jeff.
And he's in a full suit.
And he has the softest, most in love, most excited look on his face.
And everyone is down on their knees.
And absolutely everyone is staring at me.
And I'm not sure what's going on, I'm trying to process everything as fast as possible.
And everyone is cheering.
And then Jeff says something to me, I'm not quite sure what is was but I think it went something like this...
"Cam, you know that you are the best thing to ever happen to my life. I couldn't picture life without you. I love you so much..."
(Something like that? I don't even know hahaha!)
By this point I was crying, but you couldn't tell cause I was soaking.
Then I give him a hug.
Then he gets on his knee and pulls the ring out.
The center fountain goes on perfectly.
And says, "Will you marry me?" (I think?)
(I love his face in this picture!)
I believe I said yes...haha All I know is I rushed in and kissed him!
His strong hands are shaking and I'm worried about him dropping my ring in the drain so I stick my hands under his.
(There was a professional photographer there that captured a few pictures I will cherish forever!)
We get the ring on my finger and I instantly kiss him.
Everything felt so bright and warm and surreal. It literally felt like I was in heaven with all my loved ones around, everything so light and bright, the spirit was so strong, and the love there was absolutely AMAZING! Words really can't describe how incredible it was.
We kissed, and kissed, and kissed some more.
Whenever we would stop Jeff's brother-in-law, Shaye, would tell us to keep going for his video.
But I didn't mind.
(Stay tuned for the professional video of it all, hopefully he got what Jeff said haha.)
Jeff asked me if I recognized the song, then it hit me what song it was. OURS! :)
We danced some more, smiled a ton, kissed again and again, and just enjoyed the little bit of heaven we were feeling.
When the song ended everyone congratulated us! We gave and received a lot of soaking wet hugs! Lots of pictures were taken! Smiles were everywhere! Tears of joy were shed! And love was truly in the air!!!!!!!
(This picture was for Cec and Brad, I was being silly! Haha I wish that they both could've been there, along with Jeff's parents and sister, but luckily we were able to skype Cec and Amanda was telling Jeff's parents all about it. I really love and miss my sister and it breaks my heart that she couldn't be there, but I'm grateful that modern technology allowed her to be there in a way! I love you Cec!!!)
My Fiance is absolutely amazing! :)
I love you Jeff!!!!
Turns out that everyone knew the whole time, talk about good secret keepers!
...
I can't even give this story justice. The way it is engraved in my mind is absolutely gorgeous and truly priceless. Jeff couldn't have thought of a more perfect proposal. Everyone I love was able to share the moment with us, I got to dance and do what I love, we were able play in the fountain, he got it on film, he was absolutely perfect, and I was truly surprised (which is hard to do!)
I am the luckiest, most blessed, girl EVER!
(After all the excitement, we were seriously glowing and really trying to take in what just happened! We kept saying things like, "wow, that was amazing!" "We really are going to be together forever!" "Do you remember..." "I really love you!" "I'm sooo excited!" and a lot of other things along those lines haha!)

I am soooooo excited for my future with my Mr. Wonderful. I know that we will be absolutely happy forever. We never have a dull moment together. I know that we can get through anything. There will definitely be lots of laughs and probably a few hard times but with him, I will always be the happiest girl. This man truly is amazing! We will have lots of Saturdays with football, dance lessons, fruit smoothies, dirty dishes, dessert runs, sweet serenades with his guitar, and lots of other memories I look forward to! :) I love you Jeffrey Preston Hauck, my fiance. Thank you for loving me with your whole heart! :) We have a beautiful eternity together!!!!!
My beautiful Neil Lane pear shaped diamond ring!
Jeff is amazing and picked out he perfect ring!!!
Didn't he do dang good??
I love it and I love him!!!!! :)

My mom took a ton more pictures and I wish I could upload them all but that would take forever! So come to the wedding and I'm sure you will see more! :) I just want to say that I have the most amazing family and fiance and friends and support system in my life! I am so grateful for all of them!
Life is great! Life is blessed! :)
Everyone smile a little bigger, look at life a little brighter, and be grateful for the place you are at this very moment. Because it will be just that, a moment! :)
(We missed Cecilee, and I wish she could be in this picture, but this will be our new family with the addition of Jeff! :) So happy!!!)
Love you all!

P.S. I tried my best to remember everything but I know I missed things, so I will probably be updating this post frequently! :)
