T. Swift Trip - THE DAY I WAITED FOR!!!

Day four was the day I had been waiting for...CONCERT DAY!!!
It felt like Christmas, haha but seriously.

WARNING: read at your own risk...if you don't like Taylor Swift or lots of pictures, DON'T READ!
Saturday morning we had a couple hours to kill so we went to the beach and it was packed, absolutely NO PARKING, so we decided to go to the Self Realization garden.
Koi fish in the garden ponds.
 Garden overlooking Swami's beach.
Swami temple in Encinitas!
Then we went back to our room and got ready for the concert!
I, of course tried on a few outfits but opted to go with what would keep me cool, a jean skirt and my awesome band t-shirt.
Then we drove down to Old Town San Diego where we planned to take advantage of the free parking and take the trolley to the concert.
After parking, we walked around Old Town for a little before starting our little adventure.
I have never been this close to a monarch butterfly so of course I had to take a picture. It was beautiful and I think it was showing off a little.
 My handsome transportation coordinator!
This was my first time taking public transportation haha, I've been a little sheltered haha.
We decided to make San Diego a whole day so we planned to stop at a few stops along the way.
Second stop after Old Town was Little Italy and it happened to be Farmers Market day which was AMAZING!!! There was live music on each corner, tons of beautiful flowers, fruits, vegetables, clothes, jewelry, artwork, food, and more.
Seriously, have you ever seen more beautiful vegetables??? And such a variety??? They had so much to choose from it was crazy.
More beautiful vegetables. That color purple though...
In one of the flower booths they had these cool pumpkin trees with real pumpkins on them! I had never seen that before and I really wanted to get some, but unfortunately I would have had to throw them away at the concert gate.
Fresh fruit smoothie to keep us cool. It was actually really hot in California, but it wasn't bad thanks to the ocean breeze!
Again, if I could have I would have gotten these orange and purple sunflowers. They were beautiful!
After our little adventure in Little Italy we took the trolley down to Seaport Village where we walked along the water and checked out the shops and the port.
Jeff was excited about the Anchorman bridge! He actually asked for me to take his picture in front of it, after which he sent the picture to his friends haha.
I had to have a picture of this huge statue in front of the USS Midway. We took pictures of each other posing like this couple then I tried photoshopping us together kissing in front of it, but it didn't work out hahaha so I will just stick with the statue and the ship!
After walking around Seaport Village, we walked back to Cheesecake Factory where we enjoyed our favorite meal! We didn't even know there was a Cheesecake Factory there, so we saw it as a sign and had to eat there.
We tried the salted caramel cheesecake and let me tell you IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Literally, I couldn't have dreamt of a better cheesecake combination. I have a vivid imagination when it comes to food and flavors, but this one was mind blowing! I loved it to say the least, and so did Jeff haha.
After Cheesecake we got back on the trolley and headed to the Gaslamp District right by Petco Park.
One of Taylor's million equipment trucks.
We got to Petco Park around 4:40 and the gates open at 5:00, so we just jumped in line and chilled for 20 minutes.
I don't know if you can tell, but I was really excited!
 Waiting!
We were all settled in and ready to go! It was fun to be there early to walk around, take pictures, and watch the videos.
 Excited! I love our shirts!
 Enjoying our drinks!
The show started right at 7:00 with Shawn Mendes as the opening act. He was so adorable! He had so much joy from performing in front of the crowd and having them participate in his songs with him.
I didn't really know who he was but I will be following his music now.
He is seriously the best husband EVER! He is so patient with me, he is always trying to make my dreams come true, and he gets me Taylor Swift tickets then goes with me! Yeah, he's AMAZING!
After Shawn, Vance Joy took the stage! He was awesome too, and it was fun to sing along to his songs.
 Stadium with phone lights waving.
Stadium with the lights on. This concert was sold out and there were 45,000 people all in one place for this one concert. I don't know about you, but that just blows my mind.
After Vance there was a 20 minute break before Taylor took the stage.
Taylor Swift took the stage in such a grand way! There were bracelets taped to every chair with instructions to put it on, pull out the tab, and wait to see what they are for. Well, when she came out the lights and music were definitely attention grabbing and the bracelets we were wearing were actually part of her lighting scheme, so they would light up on que with her music.
"Welcome to New York"
 "New Romantics"
"Blank Space"
 "I knew you were trouble"
 "I wish you would"
 "How you get the girl"
 "I know places"
 Guest performance by OMI "Cheerleader"
 "Fearless"
I've loved Taylor Swift from the first time I heard "Teardrops on my Guitar" and this concert just made me love her more. She was so real and so genuine in everything she said. She shared her inspiration behind different songs and her hopes in those songs for her fans. A few things she said that really impressed me were...
*She said that it just blew her mind that 45,000 people came from their individual crazy lives to this one place at one time. That thought just gets he wondering about each individual person's lives, where they are from, what they do, what makes them happy, what struggles they have and it makes her worry about each person there. Although she could never know each individual person, she wanted each person to have a light bracelet so she could see each individual person by their light.
*She also said that she hoped that this night would be a happy night full of happy memories that people can look back on in hard times and smile because that's what that night would be for her.
*She writes her songs in hopes that when her fans are feeling happy or sad or anywhere in between they can turn to her music for comfort and joy.
SERIOUSLY, she was amazing!
 "Clean"
"Love Story"
"Style"
"Bad Blood"
"We are never getting back together"
 Guest Performer, Avril Lavigne "Complicated"
 "Enchanted"
"Wildest Dreams"
"Out of the Woods"
"Shake it off"

The concert blew my mind! Every number was a production number, the dancers were amazing, the props were on point, she changed outfits like 7 times, she had surprise guest performers, she had a catwalk that lifted and turned, she was genuine, the lighting was off the hook, seriously everything was amazing! Worth EVERY penny.

It's crazy to think that Taylor Swift has been touring for 10 years! She's influenced millions and millions of people all over the world. She could influence all those people for bad, but she doesn't and I think that is amazing, especially in the world we live in. I hope she stays like that.
She said it's fun to look back and see how immature her "love songs" were and how they all had a sense of fairytale because that's all she had ever known, was love from story books, but as she's maturing her music is maturing. I guess that's why I relate to her so much because as each song has come out it's been in the stage of life I've been in.

OKAY I'M DONE! I'll be putting together a video of our trip so stay tuned for that!
It was seriously a dream and it will definitely be a memory I can look back on in hard times.
THANKS BABE for checking off something on my bucket list. I LOVE YOU JEFF!
