Birthday Babysitters :)

Friday was Amanda's birthday so we offered to babysit while they went out!
We were excited and ready!
This is the fun we had when Emme got here...
(side note: Jeff is so ready to be a dad, and extremely anxious! IF YOU CAN'T TELL hahaha.)
Amanda brought her stroller so we decided to go take a walk to the temple on this beautiful evening!

We checked both ways before crossing, I promise! It just looks like that car is going to hit us. :)
I wanted to take some pictures of Emme in front of the flowers but she was too excited and kept moving around! So this is what we got and I like it better!

Yes, I'm still in love with the poppies!

Once she saw the stairs she was all over it. Look at that face :) hahaha

Jeff was in heaven! :) I love him.

Emme is so funny cause she runs everywhere! Its hilarious!
 Caught ya!
 Haha :)

Emme shooting me the face that says, "I finally lost him! :)" little does she know he's right behind her!
After our fun at the temple we started our walk home and I saw this drain and had to take a picture cause I hadn't ever seen that before! I'm weird, I know.
 Race-strollers Jeff and Emme.
I think Jeff was more amused than Emme!
We had so much fun with her that night! After our walk to the temple we went home and watched 10 minutes of Frozen before Amanda and Shaye showed up.
We love Emme and look forward to the day we give her cousins to play with!!!!

Review. Confession. Try Out.

Review.
A couple weeks ago we went to Amy's Jetette review and she did amazing.
I am always stunned by her dancing, she is seriously so good!
 Her solo!
 See, she's amazing!
I love her emotion on her face and her skirt caught perfectly still in the picture!
Of course there's going to be a picture of Emme. She adorable!
I can't believe she is already done with Jetettes, pretty soon she will be graduated and off to BYU.
I am not a fan of change if you can't tell.
Amy is such a sweetheart and she always brings to much energy to the family. Sundays and family gatherings are NOT going to be the same without her wanting to play games and telling me about her boy situations. I love her and feel so blessed to call her my little sister.
I have to share...today I got home from class to an envelope tucked behind my screen door. I opened it and was pleasantly surprised to see it was from Amy. Her words touched my heart and made me cry. She is such a special girl and I'm excited for her next stage of life but sad for what that means for us left behind! I love you Amy and I'm proud of you!
Thank you for making my day! This note is priceless to me and I will keep it FOREVER. NO JOKE.

Confession.
I've been doing Herbalife and I love it! :)
(Check out my clear skin (for me), yeah, Herbalife.)
I started Herbalife about a month an a half ago and have been amazed with my results.
I first started it to feel better and have more energy, cause after my grandpa passed away I just went into a mode of depression where I lost motivation and just felt yucky all the time. Literally everyday I would say to Jeff, "I think something is wrong with me." or "I don't feel good.)

Since I've started...
I have lost 10 pounds and 3 inches.
My skin has cleared up (WHICH IS HUGE FOR ME).
I feel great and have energy throughout the day.
AND I just realized I haven't said "I think something is wrong with me" or "I don't feel good" since.

I don't know about you but all of those things are priceless to me!!!
I still eat the food I love, I am just aware of what I'm putting in my body now and how it will make me feel. Seriously it's amazing!!!
If you have felt any of the things I was feeling please contact me, cause you can feel good too!!!
Okay, confession done.
For now.

Try Out.
Sydnee tried out for the SCHS cheer squad yesterday and MADE IT!!
I knew she would but they had us on the edge of our seats last night!
 Grandma came to support.
These three! :) (I choreographed their dances.)
Yes, I'm in love with this kid and take too many pictures of him.
 :) haha.
Very first thing Syd does is trip. TYPICAL SYD.
 Ready, okay. :)
 "GO WARRIORS."
 She killed her individual.

 I love my sisters!
 Cute parents!
Our little cheerleader! I am so excited for Syd cause I know what she has to look forward to. This is going to be a wonderful experience for her full of lots of laughter and friendships!!! I'm proud of you Syd, all those years of cheer class paid off!

Okay well I need to get back to my math homework now and editing pictures so I hope everyone has an exciting Friday night! :)

All Dogs Go To Heaven.

Well yesterday 3/18 it happened.
Our very 1st childhood dog, Bruiser (I always liked the spelling Bruzer better), passed away.
We knew it was going to be soon but when it happens it just breaks your heart.
Here are some special memories that I want to share.
My mom always said no to having a dog and then Bruiser happened as a secret.
My aunty Tia was living with us at the time and she showed up one day with the cutest little puppy, Bruiser.
We hid him in our room and when my aunt was gone Cec and I would play with him and feed him.
Well her situation changed and she was going to move to Hawaii, so she finally told my parents about the dog and asked us if we wanted him.
My mom's initial reaction was NO.
But after a little persuasion with 5 sets of puppy eyes (all 4 of us kids and Bruiser's) she gave in and said YES!!! We all couldn't believe it but were SOOO excited!
And that's how we Bruiser became a part of the Horlacher family.
(My mom has all our older pictures.)
I had everyone send me some of their favorite memories so we can always have them recorded...

Dad
Bruiser would always open the gate with his paw, pulling it open, but he couldn't ever figure out how to get back in so he would wait patiently til we let him back in.
Also, when Bruiser knew he was going for a walk he would go to the leash and get so excited.
Another memory is when Bruiser would wrap himself in a blanket, lay quietly til he heard something then tried to get out but couldn't find his way for a minute.

Mom
Bruiser and I had a special relationship, he respected me by not ever jumping on me or licking me, but he would always show he loved me by his eyes and sitting close to my legs and wanting me to pet him. I loved watching him listen to the commands of "sit" and "no"! I also loved watching him with Chloe (our other dog, his baby mama, or unofficial wife) she would always nag him and try to annoy him but he would always walk away like a man.
Chloe and Bruiser.

Me
My memory is kind of sad but really bonded us. A couple weeks after he was officially ours I was snuggling with him on the couch when I fell asleep with him curled up by my stomach. I am a crazy sleeper and somehow my leg ended up on top of his little puppy body and I didn't know it. One of my siblings woke up in the middle of the night hearing heavy panting so went to see what it was. It was Bruiser panting heavy and sweating (dogs don't sweat) being crushed by my legs. They hurried and woke me up and everyone else in the house and got my dad to try to save Bruiser. He was weak, and panting fast, soaked in sweat, and wouldn't open his eyes. I was bawling like a baby cause I didn't mean to and I felt like I killed him. I don't remember how my dad got him to be alright, all I remember is praying and saying sorry over and over. After Bruiser was okay he instantly forgave me and loved me anyway, I felt like I needed to keep my distance from him cause I didn't want to hurt him again but he would always come up to me and snuggle with me still. I feel like that experience bonded us, even though Bruzer (my spelling) doesn't talk, his actions spoke volumes of love and forgiveness. After that experience I felt like I owed it to him to make sure he was always good and happy. I miss him and will miss seeing his excitement anytime he saw me, seeing his puppies (which were many), his little dog syndrome of toughness, his obedience to any of his tricks and waiting for our okay to get his treats, and just his happy little countenance. Dogs are a beautiful gift from God, and I truly believe that ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN.
Cecilee
My favorite memory is really just snuggling with him anytime! His breed (mini doberman pinture) isn't known for being the snuggling type but Bruiser was always so cute and would come up and lay with you and make you feel loved! He definitely would make you feel loved! I also gave him the nick name of "Bubbas", he knew my voice and all I had to say was "It's me, Bubbas" and he would calm down and stop barking. He was our families watch dog and we all loved him so much. I can't wait to see him again.

Trevor
Trevor took care of Bruiser, and Bruiser LOVED him. One of Trevor's favorite memories are when Bruiser would pull Trev around on his rip stick whenever Trev would take him on a walk. Also, Trevor would always race with Bruiser and Bruiser would always outrun him. (Trevor always has few words, but I know that his heart is the heaviest of all cause he had a really special bond with Bruiser.)

Sydnee
When Syd and Trev were trying to come up with a name for him, they thought long and hard about the name. Also, playing the chasing game with Bruiser anytime he would get out. Bruiser would let them get close then bolt, and do that over and over until he got bored then decided he'd come home.
The last time I saw Bruiser alive. He was weak and skinny but he wanted to be with the family and you could see in his eyes the love but also that he was telling us that he wasn't going to be here much longer but that he would always love us.

Take time to smell the flowers...

Flowers have been in my thoughts the last couple days.
I love spring time and what better time to have such beautiful flowers than spring break?
Some fresh roses and a love/sorry note! :) Hahaha...(yes, we argue every once in a while! But who doesn't?? And whose husband apologizes like this?) I love my husband!
Friday night was temple date night and I was drooling over the beautiful poppies and other flowers.
Seeing flowers everywhere made me want to plant some too. You can't really see them but they are everywhere and I can't wait for the day they grow and fill out!!!! :)
Couple of my potted flowers.

Needless to say I love spring and I love flowers! Bring on the sunshine and pollen (even though I have allergies and sneeze like crazy during this season!)
Happy Sabbath!
I hope everyone takes a second to smell the flowers in their lives, both the physical and metaphorical flowers!

Hobo Family.

So yesterday morning I called my mom to tell her that I was coming over that night to teach Syd her cheer try out dance (try outs are next week).
Then I had the genius idea of making "Hobo" dinners and smores.
(Everyone called me crazy for calling them Hobo dinners, but that's the name, look it up.)
I, of course don't have any of the stuff, so my mom double checked and we were ready to go for that night.
It was such a fun family night, hanging out by the fire, talking, laughing, helping Syd with her cheer stuff, making smores, then watching a movie together.
I seriously LOVE family time! :)
Check out our fun...
 The hobos assembling their dinner.
Again but this time with Cec.
All set and ready to burn.
While waiting I snuggled with Bruzer, our very first dog! He is old now and is really sick, it breaks my heart to see him so weak and skinny. He probably won't be around much longer so be prepared to see pictures and hear my stories.
He's doing his gangster face too. I never really thought about having a dog but when we got Bruzer I couldn't believe we didn't have one earlier. I almost killed him as a pup but he instantly forgave me and still carried on full of life, there's just something special about dogs.
I love him. I tell Jeff we can't get a dog cause the truth is that I get too attached and dread the day of letting them go.
Our yummy dinners!
It really was so much fun and the weather was PERFECT!
I strongly recommend this family night dinner to anyone and everyone!!!
