Friends forever. Continued.

Meagan Pandolfelli
Meagan is Kevin's cousin, she came out for a month also. She is hilarious. She is awesome. She is a genius. She is fun. She is so great! She came to Hawaii my last two weeks there, and her cousin left after a week that she was there, so I gladly volunteered to be her bestie! :) Meagan isn't a member of the LDS church but she investigated it while in Hawaii. It was amazing to be able to take part in it with her. I was able to answer questions for her at any time and we had so many deep spiritual chats, I LOVED IT! Anyway, I want to share a little bit of my journey with Meagan. We became friends through Kevin, and when Kevin left I stepped in as her tour guide/best friend. Haha. Anyway, she was supposed to stay for a month, but some things didn't work out and it turned out that she needed to leave earlier so we booked a flight for the same day as me. Well the same day she found out she needed to leave early, she found out a lot of other hard things along with the death of her grandmother. Her grandmother was LDS and she was very sick, she had Meagan read her the Book of Mormon every night. So when we started taking the discussions she described the Spirit by saying it was a sweet memory with her grandma, it was similar to the way she felt when she was spending time and reading to her grandma. It was no coincidence that Meagan's grandmother passed away when she did. Meagan believes the church is true and I truly believe that one day she will be baptized and bring her family to the gospel. These were just a few details of the whole picture but I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to share my testimony with Meagan. I learned a lot from Meagan, but the one that I will cherish forever is the lesson that your testimony doesn't sit still, you are either adding more to it or losing some of the fundamentals you had. I love Meagan and I am grateful for her. I love you Meagan! :)

Ladd Laulusa
Ladd is one of the sweetest guys I've ever known. I met Ladd through my mom, weird I know. I guess my grandma was his mom's young woman's leader, then his mom was my mom's young woman leader, and my mom used to babysit them or something? I can't remember for sure but I know it's something like that. Anyway, Ladd is one of the most thoughtful guys I've ever met. For example, the mosquitos in Hawaii loved me, I seriously had over 20 mosquito bites and counting, anyway I casually mentioned that they were driving me crazy one time when we were hanging out, the next time I saw him he had mosquito repellent and after itch cream for me. I couldn't believe how thoughtful that was. Then when my time in Hawaii was winding down we talked about things that I had wanted to do but never had a chance, on the list was make a lei. Well guess what...Ladd picked a bucket full of plumeria flowers, bought three different types of string (just in case one didn't work haha) got a needle, and we went and watched the sunrise and made my lei. It didn't even stop when I left. For my birthday, Laddy boy sent me a box full of chocolate covered macadamia nuts, a turqoise bracelet from my favorite antique store, Hi chew candies (with half of the banana flavor gone, since it was his favorite and he couldn't resist), and a picture card that spelled out "Happy Birthday Cam!" at all the places and with all the people I loved in Hawaii. I couldn't believe how thoughtful this guy is. I learned that the thought is really what counts. Not just the thought, but carrying out the thought to show someone that you care. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to meet Ladd. He is a great guy with a strong testimony. I love spending time with him and just loving life. He is one of the chillest people you will ever meet. He goes with the flow for everything and he appreciates life. He taught me how to hitch hike! Haha! And of all the people I met in Hawaii, he used the slang word "choke" the best! Ha :) Thanks for everything Ladd. You're a great guy!! I love ya, Ladd!

Me and Ladd went to the arrival of canoes from New Zealand, and these are the traditional costumes! (The whole reason Ladd wanted to go...)Hahaha I couldn't believe it...

Ah You Family :)
My grandpa has some of his family over in Hawaii too! While I was there I was able to spend time with his side too. The Ah You family. I didn't get to see them as much as I had hoped but I was grateful for the time I did get to spend with them. They are so giving and loving. Every time I was around them they were always offering to feed me or take me places. I had the opportunity to go the swapmeet, a luau, and eat at the grill with them. All of these times were so fun and I got to know their family a little better. I love them so much. They taught me to always be willing to give everything you have for not only family, but for everyone. Thank you family. I love you guys!

Again, I made so many friends and spent time with family. I really had the best experience ever. It was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. I will always cherish the friendships I made there, and the memories we all made together.
