Encinitas Last Day :(

We were sad to leave but grateful for the little vacation we had!

We checked out at 11 and started our journey home.

We mapped our route home to make it so I could shop, eat some good food, and beat rush hour and we did all of those.

I retired my camera at this point and just used my phone, hence the bad quality pictures.

But we had fun.

 Stopped at The Spectrum Shopping Center (best mall EVER) where I got new clothes and ate cheesecake. :) Happy girl.

Driving home there was the most beautiful sunset that I tried to capture. We didn't get our ocean sunset like in Encinitas but were satisfied with a great trip and safe trip home.

Encinitas Day 3 :)

Day 3 a day late cause my laptop died and I forgot the charger. Woops.

We loved it there and were sad come home :(

But hey, a short vacation is better than no vacation!

BUT day 3 was another BEAUTIFUL day in Encinitas!

 I promised some pictures of the artwork painted on the buildings. I thought this one was interesting, but why did they paint such huge breasts? Hahahaha.

 Amazing.

 Well we woke up and decided to try VG's donuts since we had it recommended to us 3 times. So as we drove we stopped so I could take some pictures of the art then headed to have some yummy donuts. The maple glazed was my favorite, SO YUMMY! We also tried the cinnamon roll and buttermilk donut, both were good too! After the donuts we went shopping a little more inland, then came back and walked around the shops and took more pictures.

 Then we stopped to have some lunch where we ate more fish tacos. The ones at the farmers market were better though.

After lunch we jumped in our suits and headed to the beach. Jeff posing all goofy.

 Our attempt at a picture of us! :) While on the beach we took a nap and tried to tan. I passed out for a good hour then was abruptly woken up by a huge wave and Jeff busting up laughing! It was hilarious.

 After beaching it we headed over to Manhattan Pizza where they make GINORMOUS pizzas.

 After dinner we caught the sunset and it was gorgeous again.

Encinitas Day 2 :)

Sunday Funday! :)

 With it being a Sunday and all we tried to do things that wouldn't cost money and would be reflective. (But a few dollars were spent and I felt awful about it. Just as an FYI.)

We woke up, got ready, then headed to find the Encinitas 1st ward. Coolest church building. They had an outdoor courtyard in the middle and the chapel was beautiful!

 After church we went and changed then decided to go walk around the local farmer's market. This is a pretty popular farmers market that a lot of people in the area go to every Sunday.

 They had tons of fresh fruit, veggies, plants, flowers, herbs, food, jewelry, and other randoms. This specific herb and plant booth made me want to start a garden.

After the farmers market we decided to go to The Self Realization Center where people go to meditate and let go of any bad feelings. It's cool cause everything here is free, no admission fee, no parking fees, everything is free.

 This center has beautiful gardens with flowers, trees, and coy ponds. The garden overlooks the ocean and has benches all throughout the garden for people to sit and have self realization moments to let go of anything and send it out to the ocean.

 The coy fish were HUGE and they kind of scared me cause they literally came to the edge and posed for my camera.

This is really a spiritual place for some good self evaluation.

 So nice to look out over the ocean and sit and think about places in your life you could be better and things that may be holding you back from moving forward and getting stronger. This center was originally a temple dedicated to all religions to come and work on self realizations, but due to erosion of the bluffs the temple was disembled for safety.

Part of the remaining temple behind this awesome sign. But this sign is really important because there are always TONS of surfers everywhere to be alert for. (They should also add a bikers sign cause there are TONS of those too.)

 After the Self Realization center we drove around and just looked at the amazing beach houses. This one was built in the 1920's. It literally is 2 huge boats made into houses.

 So cool.

 Then we went and took a nap on the beach. It was hot so we jumped in the cold water a few times.

There are beautiful paintings all over, I will take more pictures of them.

After the beach we went to our hotel and passed out for a couple hours and had a true Sunday nap and hung out in our room the rest of the day.

We are loving this place and are all ready for another beautiful and adventurous day! :)
