Vegas & Kalamity, Hair, Prom, Call, Talk, State, & Everything Else.

Kalamity has a new cause!!!!!
His story, in his Mom's words...
I'll start with a quick (hopefully quick-I'm not good at short explanations) synopsis of what's been going on, for those of you that aren't completely aware.

Calum has been officially diagnosed with STAGE III T-CELL LYMPHOBLASTIC LYMPHOMA.
Shortly before Thanksgiving he developed a small cough, and was experiencing malaise and loss of appetite. He was taken to urgent care twice, and treated for pneumonia, through oral antibiotics.
When he wasn't better after completing his round of antibiotics, I was advised by an inspired neighbor/medical professional to take him back to the doctor, soon. I took him to Red Rock Pediatrics night clinic at 5:30 on December 11th. After an alarming xray was reviewed, we were escorted to the ER for an immediate CT Scan. The CT scan showed a mass, 3 times the size of Calum's heart, in his chest, and his right lung was completely filled with fluid.

At 11:30pm, Calum (with me joining him) was life flighted to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Cade drove up that night/morning, arriving at 5am. The remainder of that night, and the entire next day was a whirl wind, and frankly, quite overwhelming, so I'll leave out most of those details (because it's foggy from my frazzled brain). Calum received his official, "official" diagnosis today, December 14th, although we have known/assumed it was cancer since Saturday.

Edit: I want to add that this type of cancer, in children, has a very high survival rate, so his prognosis is very good. 90% survival rate. Calum is in very good hands, and we have faith that he will kick this cancer's butt. It may be a long road getting there, but, in the words of his oncologist, "HE IS A LITTLE WARRIOR!"

Kalamity hit Vegas with an awesome weekend planned to teach and serve in the name of Calum!!!
We headed down to Vegas at 5:00 am Friday morning to get there in time for our 4 assemblies we had lined up.
Our first 2 assemblies were at Stuckey Elementary school!
Our second two were at Charolette Hills Elementary school.
It is always so fun to see the joy in the kids faces as they watch us acting silly while teaching them the importance of making good decisions!!!
Directly after our 4 assemblies we headed to The Rock dance studio to take class from Daphne. It was fun to let loose and just dance.
Saturday we went shopping in the morning then headed to the Salvation Army to feed the homeless. It was so humbling and such a great experience. I love seeing all the good in the world being done by others and the people at the Salvation Army feed the homeless or those struggling 3 meals a day every single day of the year!
AMAZING!
That night we went to dinner and a show as a team!
We saw 'The Variety Show' at Planet Hollywood and it was so great!
I laughed the whole time and was amazed by all the acts in the show.
Posing in mirrors is what we do best.
All crammed in for a picture, waiting for our big white van in valet (haha that's a whole other story.)
Sydnee finally said yes to her dance date the week of the dance, typical Syd. Thank goodness for her more then willing brother-in-laws.
I'm so proud of this amazing little brother of mine. He is such a great example to me of hard work with a smile. He was made District Leader and has been feeling the weight of that calling but doing his best!
This is lunch and dinner every day for us over here, pita bread sandwiches...mmmm...never gets old!
I got my hair did, like really did. 89 foils later and....
...this is our ending result! Believe it or not, we are actually going blonder, this is just the first stage!
I love getting Syd ready for dances. I think Cec and I have more fun with it then she does, but I'm just glad she lets us do whatever we want.
(Yes I did try on her dress...I'm such a kid.)
Kiana got her mission call!!!! She is going to the Scotland/Ireland mission and leaves May 9th. I'm so proud of her and her decision and I know she will be an amazing missionary!
Jeff and I spoke in our ward a week ago and my family and Jeff's parents (they left before the picture) came and supported us. It's always nice taking time to prepare for a talk, it always reminds me that I need to be studying the gospel like that all the time.
Anyway, we did our best and I think it went okay!
This last weekend we headed up to State Cheer with my family. It was dumping snow, so we took a snow selfie, of course.
Snow Canyon did AMAZING, they sure made me proud to be a Snow Canyon Cheer alumni!!!
 They took STATE!!!!
3 first places and 2 second places!
After State we went ate, shopped, and had a couple snow ball fights.
I always love seeing the temple!
Then we got up early Sunday morning and started our way back home to catch Jocelyn's farewell.

As you can see life has been a little busy and the pictures aren't even all that has been going on.
NOT PICTURED:
-I am working on my Senior capstone and Internship that are keeping me busy.
-I got an AMAZING job with benefits and a great schedule that works perfectly with my schedule.
-I just found out I'm going to Europe, Hawaii, Texas, and Illinois all this summer, YAY!
-I've been going through fertility treatments to try to get pregnant (obviously no success yet, it's harder to ovulate than I thought.)
-Lots of kalamity.myshopify.com clothing orders to process and organize.
-The Vault studio work, that I love.
-I've been busy with my personal progress girls.

ANYWAY...I love my life and I'm so grateful for the place I am. I am so blessed and I love all the challenges and blessings that are present every day!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful week, I know I will!!!
