Vera & Ayva's Nursery

Decorating the girl's nursery was the hardest room I've ever decorated...SERIOUSLY!
Here's why...
1. I've always dreamed of decorating a nursery and after years of infertility you set your expectations to PERFECTION (everything has to be perfect, or so you think.)
2. I have way TOO MANY ideas and can't narrow it down to one theme or one color scheme.
3. I wanted it to speak about their personalities and their likes but OBVIOUSLY I don't know them like that yet...
4. Oh and did I mention I wanted it to be PERFECT?? Yeah, kinda ridiculous of me.

Anyway here is their nursery and I LOVE IT!!! It's colorful, full of patterns, and 100% inspiring to me. It holds many treasures and emotions and years of hopes and dreams! It's magical to me and I hope it inspires them as well.
Their names and their name meanings below.
 Bows and bibs for days!
Yes it has the lived in look (HAHA) but that's exactly what we're doing so I don't mind sharing our lived in lives...a little cluttery and unorganized in places, but definitely lived in with love.

Wallpaper stripes, a project I was nervous about but LOVE how it turned out!!! I didn't want to wallpaper the whole wall so we added a chair rail to break it up and add more texture. I also had a lot of yarn detailing on pillows, lampshades, and curtains, so I added yarn stripes to the wallpaper wall and I love how it turned out.

We got this seashell wall art for the girls on our "babymoon" in Hawaii!

Lots of colors and textures just how I like it!
I wanted a little reading corner where we can read to our sweet girls and I love how it turned out!
Before the girls were here we would come in this room pretty much every day and just sit and talk and read together and it was beautiful. Now being able to enjoy the room with our girls is a beautiful experience.
We have two babies so of course we each needed a chair to rock our sweet girls in.
Our faces say it all...WE ARE TRULY LIVING OUR DREAM!
 I love my family!

I love seeing Jeff be a dad! He was amazing before but seeing him as a daddy takes him to ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Bigger + More Beautiful Than Ever

It’s the weirdest thing...
I’m heavier than I’ve ever been, my underwear is tight and causes a muffin top at times ðŸ˜‚, and I never wear makeup anymore due to lack of motivation BUT I’ve never felt more beautiful! Isn’t that crazy??
Infertility + pregnancy has made me realize that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder and there is beauty and things to admire about yourself in every stage of life.
During infertility struggles I too often focused on negative things about myself when I should have taken time to be grateful and loved my “beauty” in the struggle. So whatever stage you’re in take a minute to write out 3 things you find beautiful about yourself! Ready...GO!
 1. I love seeing my tummy grow, it truly is beautiful to me!
 2. I love how strong I am in all situations... I've been raised to believe I can handle anything through my Savior and I truly believe it with my whole heart!
 3. I feel the "pregnancy glow" in full effect and it truly makes me feel beautiful!

So coming up with three things is harder than it may seem, but you are WORTH IT so take the time to list three things!!!!

Oh and this dress is not only maternity but also NURSING FRIENDLY!!! That's a HUGE win win!!!

11 Weeks Pregnant - Cost of IVF & FET

We got our sweet twins their first set of matching jammies! No we don’t know genders yet, but these are adorable for either and we couldn’t resist! We love you babies ❤️❤️
This week has been great! We are feeling overwhelmingly blessed!

We got a new guitar, had a kalamity performance, had a little getaway, and looked over how much we actually spent on IVF and FET so far! I'm feeling less sick than before but still pretty sick, it's just not as constant as it was the last few weeks, so that's really nice!!!

COST BREAKDOWN:
Egg Retrieval + Medications = $13,043.71
Frozen Embryo Transfer + Medications = $4,444.04
BRINGING OUR TOTAL FOR THE WHOLE PROCESS SO FAR TO.................
$17,487.75

That's a lot more than what we initially were hoping to spend but as we got going with everything and seeing how things kept coming and costs kept rising, it was actually less than what I thought we'd end up spending! So there's that to give you a better idea of what to expect as far as cost of IVF and FET!

Thank you for all the love and support, it means more than you know!!!

Pregnancy Week 10 End of IVF Shots

Feeling extremely grateful today!! I’m 9 weeks 4 days, sick as can be, and sooooooo grateful! We got to see the heartbeats of our two babes last Thursday and it was such a comforting and happy day. Infertility takes your anxiety of things going wrong at any moment to a whole new high and makes your efforts so much more calculated and researched.
Every time I hear their hearts I get chills and my heart wants to sing. Thank you for all your love and support during our journey and for encouraging me all along the way, I love you all!
Just casual mirror selfies showing the babies growth so far week by week! The woman’s body is seriously sooooo incredible! So much is taking place week by week in creating these beautiful babies, it literally blows my mind!!! For a long time I disliked my body because I couldn’t get pregnant, I couldn’t even have a regular period. I knew it was wrong to be so hard on myself but I couldn’t help it as I tried everything in my power to be normal. As I grow in size and feel sicker than I have before I love my body more than ever!!! Even when our body doesn’t look how we want or do what we want it’s important to remember to be grateful...I have a healthy body, I get to wake up every day and experience life, I am so blessed! Be kind to your body, be kind to yourself! You are amazing!!! Okay I’m done, goodnight!

We also had our last shot!!!!!! YAY!!!!! Hopefully my backside will gain feeling back haha.
I cannot wait to wake up and not worry about shots, which side to prick, or of I need to order more shots, now I’m just praying my body knows what to do hormonally on it’s own! I've been experiencing a lot of pregnancy symptoms... sickness, achey back, fatigue, mood swings, hunger, etc... and it's been great!!! I've found my sickness cure which is Coke hahaha (for now) so let's just hope it continues to help!

We are looking for ideas on how to do our gender reveal! So if you have any ideas please leave them in a comment below! We will be finding out the genders at our next appointment and we are SOOOO EXCITED!!!!

IVF Frozen Embryo Transfer Day - Finally!!!

The day we've been waiting for...Embryo Transfer Day, YAY!!!!
Meet our two embryo babies that are in my uterus right now!!! PLEASE STICK LITTLE BABES!
After the transfer feeling content and hopeful!
FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER FOR TRANSFER DAY:
- Wear socks!
- Come with a full bladder (not exploding but full)
- Say a prayer before, during and after :)

I love him SOOOO MUCH!!! He is so sweet and supportive and always makes me feel like one in a million! I'm grateful for him!!!

The transfer wen't great and so right now I am PREGNANT (until proven otherwise = PUPO) and I am praying so hard that they stick! The transfer went great and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was really cool to be able to watch on the ultrasound screen the embryos release into my uterus. Protocol now is to take it REALLY easy, they call them "princess days" where I literally watch Netflix all day, nap, and be waited on hand and foot by my husband haha (his idea, but I did not object!)

We continue with all the estradiol and progesterone in oil shots along with progesterone suppositories at night now added. I will continue with the baby aspirin, metformin and prenatal as well. I AM SO EXCITED AND SOOOO SCARED, we want this so bad!!!! But I have to remember that it's in the Lord's hands and I TRUST HIM! I will be okay with whatever the outcome, but I just want Him to be sure to know that WE REALLY WANT THIS! Anyway, I'm just taking it easy and trying not to think too much about whether they are sticking or not. Thank you all for your love and support, we love you all so much!

IVF Frozen Embryo Transfer Prep

For the last three weeks leading up to this upcoming week (YAY...FINALLY) I've been prepping for the FET, frozen embryo transfer, with Estradiol shots, metformin, baby aspirin, prenatals, and this last week adding the progesterone in oil shots. All was good up until the progesterone shots...YUCK!!!! I've been a psycho since I started them and my back side is SO SORE! I break down after most progesterone shots, but Jeff just holds me and tells me how strong I am, I COULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT HIM!
It snowed here and the flurry was refreshing and a little bit of a representation of me lately!
We really enjoyed playing in it, since we never get snow in STG!

The parade of homes has been going on and we were able to go check it out with my parents. It's such a treat to go and see beautiful homes and dream!
 I love him!
In our waiting game we have gained more strength and courage for what is ahead and feel ready to take it all on, whatever it is!!! Anyway, this video is showcasing all the prep for the FET which is this upcoming TUESDAY! I'm so excited and SOOO nervous, but I have faith in the Lord's plan for me and Jeff and I know that regardless He loves us both!
