Chillin'

This week was really chill compared to previous weeks, and I really enjoyed it!
Tuesday nights are our designated date nights! So with Amy leaving, we went to see her at work one last time before she leaves. We ordered and before our meal she brought out a dessert for us (she knows us well)!!! She is such a sweetheart and we are really going to miss her!
And her cute drawings and notes!
After being gone for two straight weeks, it is sure nice to be home! I love my little humble home :)
Syd had her camp show off this last week! It was fun to go and watch her and to remember my days as a Snow Canyon cheerleader.
Friday we took on a little painting project! We painted my parent's built in entertainment center an accent color to make it pop out a little more! It seems every year we take on new project as anniversary gifts for my parents, even though they don't want them hahaha.
I don't think my mom loves the color, so we might be repainting it, but Cec, Syd, Angel, and I love it, Jeff and Dad like it, and Mom changes her mind frequently hahaha.
This picture doesn't give it justice!
 Then it was Father's Day!
I would feel extremely ungrateful if I didn't take a second to brag about my wonderful dad! Thanks to him I can throw a football, appreciate a good laugh, cook by taste buds, and understand the importance of the gospel in my life! He has always loved and supported me in everything! He believes in me and believes the best in me! I am so grateful for him! I love you dad!
Cec and I made this cake for our Father's day dinner! I had to try to dress it up because my frosting job was HIDEOUS! Hahahha, but it tasted delicious!
I love my dad and my father-in-law as well! It was a great day spent with both dad's and sharing things we love about both of them!
Today is my parent's 24th anniversary! I am SOOOOOO grateful they found each other, fell in love, and sealed the deal in the Los Angeles temple! They are the most amazing parents and I would not be here if it weren't for their eternal love (haha). Love you Mom and Dad!

Regulars.

There are a few things that I do on the regular...
But pedicures, eating GOOD, and buying/selling stuff are all regulars in my life.
Last week before the Lacey Wallis benefit concert I went and got pedicures with my grandma, aunt, and Cec! After pedis we went down to Ichiban Buffet and pigged out on sushi.
I usually get my pedicures from my sister Cec every two weeks but we decided to let Cec have a break! :)
Speaking of eating...I have formed a "Teriyaki Char Burger" habit down at THE HABIT! Seriously my favorite burger place!!! The juicy burger comes complete with a grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce. MMMMMM my mouth waters looking at this picture. (And yes, I am still losing weight while eating this at least once a week.)
Our usual. It's sad when the employees recognize you and know what you like.
This last Monday I did my little closet sell and had a good little turn out. I buy way too much so I had an urge to sell some stuff so I could buy more. HAHAHA. Makes sense to me. I will definitely be doing it again soon, so if you missed this one you won't want to miss the next.
Two of my three helpers! :)
Last night Jeff and I tried ONE HOT GRILL off of Main Street and quickly decided that we will probably be regulars there too. Jeff had the Reuben and liked it and I had whatever hotdog was on special and OH MY GOODNESS, IT WAS AMAZING!!! It had a special cole slaw on it with pineapple, ham, jalepenos, swiss, and other secret ingredients. (I'm sensing a pineapple trend in my favorites?) Oh and the fries, mmmmhhhhhmmmm.
I was so hungry when Jeff got home that I didn't even let him change. :)
After ONE HOT GRILL we headed to our favorite store Down East Home where everyone knows our name. Yes it was our 2nd time there this week, yes I'm going back tonight to finally make the purchase.
So we are looking for a hutch/laundry room storage and I love the black one.
(Oh and they are having an extra 30% off of their Home clearance til the 6th).
We can both agree on the red one.
And Jeff loves the grey one because each glass section locks.
Which do you like?
Now that I've showed you a few of my REGULAR secrets here's something out of the regular that went down at my house today! :)
These old windows are GONE! My dad hooked us up and ordered new windows! :)
Our old ones are gone and we now have nice new Milgard windows!!!
If you or anyone you know is building and needs someone for windows, insulation, rain gutters, and more contact my dad at LP Windows! :)
Halfway through the process! New on the left and old on the right! :)
We are excited to conserve energy and not have old windows that show the whole world everything!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
(I hope my grass starts to grow in REGULAR hahaha.)

Reads, Ties, Toes, & Rugby.

So as usual, another busy week has come and gone but here are the things I snapped pictures of this week...
I'm finally reading a book that's not a textbook, after WAY too long! Such an inspiring book! I suggest it to anyone, and it's a short read so even better!
My husband is the best, he still ties my shoes and I'm not even pregnant :)
These are Major's homemade sandal socks, I was dying laughing and had to take a picture.
Then Legend of course wanted to be in the picture, haha, love these boys!
The week was full of homework, tests, work, dance, and chores so I was extremely grateful when the weekend finally came...
We started it off with an AWESOME fundraiser for Luci, our 2014 cause! There were pictures, food, and ballroom dancing and it was a BLAST! If you missed this one you won't want to miss the next one, maybe we'll try a swing dance or salsa...you never know?
After the first game! :) Cec our little paparazzi hahaha!
Posing with confidence (thanks to Herbalife, we've been doing it for 3 weeks now and I've lost 7 pounds and 4.5 inches! HURRAY! Jeff has lost 11 pounds and 8 inches. Those marriage pounds sneak up on you!) Oh and Jeff was sick, hence the face hahahahhahaha.
Saturday Trevor had 2 rugby games that we were excited to go to! It was a fund reminder of how Saturdays used to be when we were little kids and we had fun together as a family. Cec and I of course laughed way too much and way too loud but that's why we are sisters and best friends!
Yeah, the weather was bi-polar so I dressed for the worst (cause you can always take layers off but you can't put them on if you don't have them. A motto I learned from my mom!) and I'll tell you what, I was never cold or hot.
As we were taking a picture I noticed the guys head in the back so I had the genius idea of pretending to hold it hahaha. We are dorks!
(We apologize if you know this guy and feel offended that we were pretending to hold his head.)
Busting up laughing. I LOVE MY SISTER!
 Me and my AMORE!
 The Trevor cheer section!
The real cheerleaders (3 of the 4 are trying out for cheer in a couple weeks!)
 Two of my favorite people!
My sexy husband watching! He used to play rugby and I wish I had known him then so I could've watched him play!
I always say rugby is a combination of a bunch of sports and this picture captures where cheer is mixed in. STUNTING, ready 1 2! :)
Cec and I playing around some more. See her in the reflection? :)
 Gorgeous!
Trev tore it up! I'm starting to realize that he is really graduating and there isn't going to be any more high school sports games to go support him at. (I'm crying while thinking about it.) It's sad. BUT look at those killer leg muscles!
 He's the BOMB!
Save your ears and your head!
 TRI or TRY idk?
Such a handsome studly brother I have! :)
I don't know any of these kids but BOTTOMS UP! :)
One more. Also, check out the background, we live in a BEAUTIFUL place!

I'm sorry for the picture overload but my philosophy is, "there is no such thing as TOO many pictures." I probably learned that one from my Mom too. Haha.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a happy Sunday and an even better Spring Break Eve Week, I know I will as I dream of our upcoming vacation to Encinitas, California! :)

I love my Dad.

Yesterday Jeff and I headed over to my parent's house to get things organized for our garage sale on Saturday.

...Garage Sale is Saturday (tomorrow) August 3rd from 7-1...
...In Ivins at 330 E. 1175 S...
...We have lots of clothes (comes school shopping), furniture pieces, random home goods, and just lots of little treasures...

I came home to my Dad talking to Cec about future decisions and I was touched by his grace.
It reminded me of all the times my Dad has been there for me and offered words of wisdom.
This is a hard stage for Cec and anyone in that age and it seems that making the right decision of where to go, what to do, who to be around, how long, are impossible.
I remember being there and how confused I felt.
But I also remember my parents love.
That was the first thing that touched me...
 Typical goofy Dad!
Then we headed out to the sweaty garage to get things organized.
We are working for about 45 minutes when my Dad comes out to help after working a long hot day.
After we get it all organized and priced out he takes everyone (Jeff, Trevor, Cec, Hanneman, Teancum, and I) all down to what used to be called "Tri-mart" and buys us all a drink.
When we get home he makes us dinner and talks with us for til 9 even though he has to wake up early to start another long hot day of work.
I'm so grateful for wonderful parents!
I'm so grateful for the love and grace they always give me.
I'm grateful for their righteous examples and for their prayers and just for the blessing of eternal families.
Yesterday was a simple day, but it was one that I will cherish forever because we were all able to work together (which doesn't happen very often anymore.)
I missed having my Mom, Syd, and Cec helping us but I'm grateful that we are an eternal family!
(I just wanted to share again the hankerchief I gave to my Dad the day I married my love and my Dad's birthday!)

Happy Golden Anniversary!!!

Happy golden (22nd) anniversary to my wonderful parents!!
(Golden is when the number your celebrating is the same as the date.)
These two met in California when they were 13! When my dad first saw my mom he leaned to his friend and asked, "Who is that??"...Then he followed with something crazy like, "I'm going to marry her one day." He was a dreamer! :)
They were in the same ward and secretly had a crush on each other but my dad thought teasing her was flirting and she just thought he was being mean.
Their senior year came around and they went to the Homecoming dance together and became exclusive from there on out!
They survived their senior year, only after my dad beat up some guy for calling his girlfriend 'ugly' (which she clearly is not!!!)
He debated whether to serve a mission or stay home and marry Tonya, but Tonya and the Lord asked him to serve a mission so he turned in his papers. He was called to Sydney, Australia.
He left and she was sad but she decided to date everyone and their brother and dear John Bryan a time or two or three.
Well he came home and still only had eyes for my mom! He arm wrestled for her hand, asked her to be his in a park, and after a little struggle and a miraculous pillar of fire from the heavens they were officially engaged.
They were married in the Los Angeles Temple on June 22, 1991 where they were sealed for time and all eternity to later go on and have angel children that will be theirs forever!

I love you Mom and Dad and I am so grateful for your love story that started it all!
Thank you for our example of love and dedication!
You guys are amazing!!!
Happy golden anniversary and I'm excited for many many more!!!! :)
