Another week has come and gone and it's officially October!
Seriously, where does time go???
Last Monday night I had a much needed girls night with Cec where we shopped and didn't buy anything! Oh and we tried on costumes haha.
Me as a shark.
Cec as a pink gorilla.
Wednesday night was the Snow Canyon and Dixie JV game where both Jeff and my dad were coaching.
My cute Dixie coach.
My awesome Snow Canyon coach dad.
Thursday night was the Varsity game between SC and Dixie. I always love watching Jeff warm up his running backs.
Being a SC alumni and a new Dixie supporter this game was intense with lots of cheering for both. It was a crazy game with lots of surprises where SC pulled out a win.
Cute Syd and some of her cheer friends.
Friday I pulled out my adorable late Spring and Summer flowers to prep for my Fall and Winter flowers. The only good thing about pulling out old flowers is having them fresh in your house.
Saturday morning was the St George marathon, where my Aunty Tia ran her 8th marathon. She is seriously amazing and I have no idea how she does it all. It was fun to be able to work at the 25 mile aid station and to cheer her on.
After the marathon craziness we headed up to Glendale to chill at the cabin for the weekend for Jeff's birthday. We stopped at Oscars for dinner...
Drove through beautiful Zion.
Then got to the cabin to find that my dad's brother from Arizona had friends there. We didn't want to intrude on their plans so we turned right around and made our way back home, where I caught this shot on our way back through Zions. It wasn't the outcome that I had hoped for for the weekend, but Jeff and I had fun jamming out and talking in the car. I love those moments.
Sunday we watched General Conference where I bawled my eyes out the whole time. It was just what my spirit and soul needed. I felt spiritually renewed and ready to take on life again. There were so many quotes and thoughts that I wrote down and have been reflecting. I love that we have living prophets today who lead and guide our church under the direction of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. IT'S SERIOUSLY AMAZING!!!!
After watching the morning session of Conference, Jeff and I took a stroll around the temple where I found this little guy perched on a beautiful vibrant rose and it just reminded me of how amazing Conference is and the inspiration I've been receiving!
We headed to my parents house for the afternoon session where we watched the first hour then listened to the second hour as we drove to Pine Valley to spend some family time in nature.
It was beautiful and a little stormy but smelled AMAZING!!!
Nature (pine trees) + rain = heavenly smells.
We took the loop through Gunlock home where I stuck my head out the sunroof many times to capture pictures of the rainbow like this one.
Once we got back to my parent's house we had dinner, shared our favorite things about Jeff, Angel, and Cecilee (we missed their turn a couple weeks ago), then sang happy birthday to Jeff and ate cake.
I love spending time as a family and can't wait for the day Trevor is reunited with us!
Then today we've been celebrating Jeff like crazy! Because we had originally planned to be in Zions for Jeff's birthday, I changed our plans and winged it today to try to make him feel special!
I love him so much and I seriously have NO IDEA what I would do without him.
Here's how our day has gone...
Breakfast in bed, a classic!
Then I had to give him his gift, because I'm impatient like that. I got him a vinyl record player and a couple records of concerts we have been to together. I think he likes it because he's been playing it every chance he gets hahaha.
Then we got ready and headed out for the day. As we were driving we saw an old lady bent over picking up leaves, so we stopped and Jeff jumped out to help her and I snuck this picture of him. I love how sweet he is.
Then we went shopping. Got an Orange Peel. Then shopped some more.
After shopping we got him a 26 pizza at Pizza Factory and ate a delicious lunch together.
Then we caught a movie at Stadium 10. We saw "The Intern" and thought it was so cute.
After the movie we got Jeff's favorite ice cream at Sub Zero then headed home.
He is now headed to football practice to spend some of his birthday doing something he loves.
I am so grateful for him and his birth.
26 years wiser and handsomer too!!! He is the greatest thing to happen to me and I am so grateful for him and his love. He constantly makes me want to be better with his unconditional love, he makes me laugh every day, his smile is the highlight of every day, works so hard without seeking recognition, and gets more and more handsome every year. I don't ever want to picture what my life would be like without him. I love you @jeffe_hauck and I'm SO grateful to call you my husband, best friend, and eternal companion! I hope it's the best birthday yet!
It's been a crazy but awesome week! I hope everyone has an awesome week, I know I sure will!!!
