And on the third day we explored more of God's creations :)
We went to the Stimpson Family nature reserve.
In the reserve we saw deer, bull frogs (that really sound like bulls), squirrels, ducks, mushrooms, and lots of beautiful trees!
This tree's roots were really cool. I'm sure they make some Chinese or Japanese symbol haha.
Geneva pond in the reserve.
It's amazing to me how everything is GREEN all on it's own. In St. George we are always battling to make our yards green, but here it's green all on it's own, even the pond!
Trees are such beautiful creations, and I always love looking at tree rings and get an idea of the kind of life they lived. I'd say this tree was never thirsty!
After the nature reserve we had lunch at Chuckanut Manor and I could not get enough of the view. This was our scenic view during lunch! I love the different layers and colors of layers stacked on each other.
For lunch we ate in the most darling dining room with this beautiful mural painted on the wall and the gorgeous view, it was dreamy.
After lunch we headed to Larabee Park and starfish beach, but something happened to all the starfish cause they were nowhere to be found. However, I did see LOTS of sand crabs and collected a few seashells!
I thought this rock was beautiful at Larabee Park, so I took a picture of it.
After Larabee we came to the AM PM lake right by our house and took the kayaks out for a joy ride. Emme was having the time of her life running all over the beach and playing in the water. The way she was playing it the water you would've thought it was 90 degree hahaha.
After fun at the lake we ate a Mexican dinner then hurried home to catch the sunset over the lake. This is the beautiful view from our rental. I love all the colors!
We are having a blast and it's always so wonderful to get a view at God's creations and to really gain an appreciation for them. We live in a beautiful world, don't you forget it!
