Dana Point, CA...Day ONE

We haven't had a family vacation in a long time, so this little Dana Point, California trip was a real treat for us!!!
Syd had cheer camp so she wasn't able to come :( but she had fun at cheer camp so I guess that's alright.
Here's how it went...
We left early Thursday morning and were all excited and ready to go!
Our gift to our parents for their anniversary came late so we gave it to them right before we left.
We re-did some of our childhood pictures.
 My mom cried instantly.
 They LOVED it!!!
We were all cracking up!!! :) It was hilarious! I will post more about it after all the vacation fun!
We were all anxious to get to the beach. So when we got to Dana Point, all us kids changed and ran to the beach. Angel was the most excited of us all. He was the first one in the water and literally 10 seconds later he was running back out with blood all over his face. We were all shocked.
It broke my heart cause he was seriously the most excited and the very first thing he hurts his face. He didn't want us to all come back with them so Jeff, Trev, and I stayed at the beach while they headed back up to clean up and relax. I really felt so bad :( but he made the best of it!
Jeff and Trev boogie boarded while I sat on the beach on my phone, checking in on Angel's situation.
 They had too much fun.

The waves were huge and were "perfect" for boogie boarding according to Jeff.

 The beautiful coast!
And again in black and white.
The beach houses were INSANE, this was one of my dream beach houses.
After the beach we headed back up to chill for the evening.
Cec and Angel after cleaning up. Poor Angel :( He's not sure what happened, if he hit his face on the sand or if something hit him but he busted his lip, broke his nose, scuffed his face, and chipped a tooth :( But he was a good sport through it all!!!

Day one was just the start of a fun vacation, despite the accident.

Weekend in photos and captions (of course).

This last weekend in photos...
Sometimes we put my  hair on Maze and laugh at how adorable he looks...
We (Aunty Tia, Mom, and me) had a yard sale Friday and Saturday and had a blast! There's something about selling old stuff and making money!!!!
I've gone design crazy and decided for my parent's anniversary they wanted some change. So Cec and I gave the dining room a facelift! :) here is the before picture, the lighting is tricky with the wall color and please excuse me in the picture hahaha.
It took us 3 hours but look at the difference! My mom's house is beach themed so we decided to do a light green (pale celery to be exact) to open up the room and bring more light in. CRAZY THE DIFFERENCE RIGHT?
Yesterday was my parent's 23rd anniversary! It's crazy to look at wedding day pictures and think that I was in heaven throwing a celebration for my parents with my siblings on June 22nd 23 years ago. I can't help but get teary eyed looking at the looks on my parent's faces in this picture, it's priceless.
(They have a very special gift in the mail, it was late.)
Yesterday was also Navy's farewell talk. I can't even believe that this kid is old enough for a mission. Navy will always be my little blonde brother that does ridiculously crazy things. Navy is Trevor's best friend, he's the perfect balance for Trevor and they have a really special friendship. Time flies and it's kinda scary, but I'm SO excited for Navy and know he will be an amazing missionary that will touch so many lives that only he could. Denver, Colorado is sure lucky!

Home: Living Room.

We moved into our cute little house (renting from my grandparents) back in December.
I am way late in posting some pictures of our home so I thought I'd just take it one room at a time.
Here is where we spend a lot of time!
My style (as I have learned) is eclectic.

Well I love color if you can't tell! :) I love my home and feel so blessed to live in such a happy, loving, colorful home!

Surprised, but not really.

Amazing.
That's the only word I can think of to describe my husband, but it still doesn't seem like enough.
Yesterday this is what I came home to with a sweet letter that made me bawl like a baby.
Let's just say, it was not a cute cry...
Surprised at first, but then not really because that's just how he is!
 He arranged them himself :)
I certainly love this man and how amazing he is.
I've said it before and I will say it again, but I don't know how I got so lucky!

1.5 ~ 18 Months

Happy 1.5 ~ 18 Month ~ 1 1/2 Anniversary to my Love!!!
Time flies when you are in love.
He has exceeded any hopes or dreams I had in having a husband.
He's kind, gentle, handsome, loving, funny, smart, hard working, trustworthy, giving, and so much more.
He is truly my dream man and continues to amaze me with his love every day.
He's so handsome, even when he's bugged I have the camera in his face! :)

Talented too...Hahaha!
I'm extremely grateful for those hands.
Those hands hug me every day, gently move my hair from my face, scoop me ice cream every night, massage my feet when I've complained too much, turn on my movies, chauffeur me around, tickle my back and play with my hair every Sunday, hold my hands when we pray, slap my butt at inappropriate times, hold me every night, and the list goes on and on...
I love you Jeff and I am so grateful to call you my husband for eternity!!!
I knew I was getting a good catch on 12/12/12 but I couldn't have anticipated the AMAZING man that surprises me with more love every day.
I LOVE YOU AND HAPPY 1.5 TO US!!!

Wrecking Pug Looking Oz-Maze Painting.

Time seriously flies when your busy...
Haha here is all the fun we've been up to.
Cec got in an accident a couple weeks ago! So scary!!! We are so glad she is okay! It sounds lame but my dad stopped by earlier this day to drop something off to me and before he left I looked out the window to see what car he was driving (I never do that) and that was the last time I saw my Mazda alive! Haha my very first car I ever bought, good memories in that car, RIP Mazda!
Anysay...END DISTRACTED DRIVING!!! My sister could've been seriously hurt due to distracted stupidity!!!
Lesson for today, drive responsibly!
We pug sat Millie while Jeff's parents and sister were traveling through England, Ireland and Norway! It was like a little vacation for us to be able to sleep in a big beautiful house, sit next to the pool, and drink their Kerns! :) We had fun sitting but are glad they are back! 17 days is a long time...
Then at work we sometimes take a break to go look for the Summit Rock. Were in the wrong place, but had fun looking!
We have now seen The Little Mermaid and The Wizard of Oz (perks to having a house managing mom!) We liked both but favored Little Mermaid!!! Oh and our cute little friend Ryan that we met that night, he was having to much fun with these face holes so I just asked him to be in our picture!
Yes I am going to be one of those over documenting Moms one day...but we had so much fun babysitting Maze last Saturday!!! He is seriously TOO CUTE!!!
One more, cause I can't help it!
You might remember me saying that I've been helping Cec redo her room, well we've been busy with projects to pull everything together! Found this vintage dresser online, we sanded and spray painted! I love spending time with her! :)
We also spray painted a bunch of frames to make a photo collage! These are frames my grandma Ah Quin gave me when she moved out of her house, I had a huge box full of them so we picked a few and painted!
I will post pictures once we are all done! If anyone needs help decorating and would like help, I'm your girl! :) It's way too fun to me.

DIY.LM.SS.

If you're wondering what those acronyms stand for let me fill you in with some pictures and captions.
DIY.
Do it yourself. Jeff surprised me while I was in Las Vegas and redid our dining room table.
I got this table 3 years ago as a hand me down from a friend I worked with, everyone tried to tell me to get rid of it but I knew it could be a pearl again!
Jeff is amazing and he did an amazing job!!!
LM
Little Mermaid. Little Mermaid preview night at Tuacahn for workers and families.
My mom works as a house manager, Cec works in the box office, and Syd works in the concessions.
I worked in concessions once upon a time, and I loved that job! :)
We loved it and can't wait to see The Wizard of Oz this week! :)
Everyone should go see this awesome play!
SS.
Super Saturday. I love Saturdays and I especially loved this last Saturday!
We woke up and went to the Temple, came home and worked in the yard, went and swam at Jeff's parents, took a nap, made fresh guacamole with salsa and cantina chips topped with mango (mmmmmmmmm), ate some sushi, and had a night out with my grandma and aunty Tia!

I love my life. Like I always say. But I do!
Anyway, that's the exciting acronyms for me :)
