Multicultural Pays.

Who knew being multicultural would pay??
Literally...
I just found out that I got the Multicultural Scholarship at Dixie State University!
HURRAY!
I love going to school for free.
Something you don't appreciate until you have to pay.
Anyway, I hope all you college students enjoy your last day of Summer!
Part of the good news letter! :)

Endowed.

I can't help but think about the first time I went through the temple as I sit and wait for Jeff to come home to go on our temple date night.
I don't think I ever blogged about it and it's a shame!!!
So I'm doing it now!
The temple is a sacred place and it's a sacred experience so I'm mostly going to share feelings!
I went through the St. George temple for the first time December 5th, 2012. Exactly a week before I married my love!!
(Not the best quality but it's special!)
(I love this boy so much!! And his blurry hand haha.)
I was so crazy at that time of my life that I just simply forgot and I am ashamed!
I was nervous and excited!
I had waited years to go through the temple and it's all surreal when the day actually comes.
I went in as prepared as I could be but I don't think anything can really prepare you for that wonderful experience.
My favorite part though was simply just seeing my family all in white in this beautiful temple and the feeling that overwhelmed me.
Feelings of love, of peace, and of pure joy.
Jeff's face was priceless and it's a still shot in my mind that I will cherish forever.
It was a beautiful experience and I am so grateful I was able to share it with my eternal family.
I'm excited to go again tonight and remember and ponder on life!
If you haven't been to the temple lately, go!!! (There's been a fun change, if you are endowed you know what I mean ;) )
If you can't go to the temple right now, do whatever you have to to get there!!!
You won't regret it!

Blessings all around...

We are seriously so blessed.
It amazes me.
But a recent blessing that has happened is Jeff got another job.
This job, however, is full time, pays more than he's making now, and comes with full benefits!
WHAT???
Thanks Steph for hooking him up!
We are so grateful!!!
It's a little hard for Jeff to quit his other jobs (Advanced Physical Therapy more than Red Lobster).
So he's hoping they (APT) will let him come and volunteer or just work Tuesday mornings.
Cross your fingers for him!
It's always hard to say goodbye to what's familiar and what's worked for the last few years but we are excited and hopeful with this new job.
WE ARE SO BLESSED!!! :)

Cabin Day.

Jeff is in with the scouts/teachers quorum and this week is a scout camp up on Cedar Mountain.
Jeff couldn't go all week so he planned to head up Monday night and spend all day Tuesday with them.
Jeff doesn't like to go anywhere alone so he begged me to come and I agreed.
Luckily my Grandparents have a cabin in Glendale, Utah.
So I made a plan to go help my grandparents with little projects at their cabin and asked Syd to come with.
We got there around 8pm Monday night where we just chilled and relaxed.
Then we went to bed.
Tuesday morning we had a nice breakfast then Jeff headed off to his scouts and we began our projects.
First project was painting the bathroom.
We knocked it out in about an hour and a half! Professionals ;)
Next we headed in the cubby to get the mail and to explore!
When we got back we made dozens and dozens of cookies. Syd has mastered peanutbutter chocolate chip cookies, literally the best I've ever had!!!
While we were cookie baking my grandpa took a good nap in the front room!
He doesn't know I took this picture haha.
 Cabin views.
The high of the day was 80 degrees, it was so perfect!

 Apple trees :)

It's not a cabin trip unless we play card games!

We had so much fun with my grandparents at their cabin.
While we were having all this fun, Jeff was getting sunburned out fishing.
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for having us, we love spending time with you guys!

She's staying!!!!!!!

I am sooooo excited to announce that my sister and best friend is staying here!
 (I love my sister!)
Cec got offered a pretty sweet deal to play soccer here at Dixie so after much thought, prayer, and a few tears of frustration she decided to take Dixie's offer and stay here.
HURRRRRRAYYYYY FOR ME!
It was a hard decision for her, especially cause it happened so last minute. She didn't want to let anyone down in Kansas, but she had a miracle fall into her lap and she couldn't deny it.
I am so excited that she is staying though, now I can watch her play soccer and hang out with her whenever I please.
I know it's a little selfish (maybe a lot of selfish) but I am SOOOOO glad she is staying!
(If you can't tell.)
I love you Cec! :)

Hauck Happenings...

Lately...
Jeff's cousin Ben came home this last Tuesday! It's crazy to think that I knew him before he left. (I've been around for a while!) We had a fun little lunch over at Jeff's parent's new house and that is where I tried to capture this picture of Emme. Haha.
Wednesday after work Jeff and I were in the mood for something sweet so we went to Yogurtland! :) I tried the "Taro" flavored yogurt and it was delicious, I will definitely be having it again!
Thursday and Friday we spent prepping for our little garage sale. Teancum made this cute sign and had to show it off! :)
He did a good job huh? :)
Saturday came around and we were all set with our garage sale! What's a garage sale without donuts??
I was a slacker and forgot to take pictures of our yard sale but don't you worry cause we are doing one more this weekend before we haul all of our stuff to the D.I. So if you weren't able to come this last weekend come this upcoming weekend! :)
Saturday afternoon we had Keawe's baptism! It was so wonderful to have my grandma and grandpa there for this special occasion.
Our adorable little baptism boy with his parents and grandparents!
Oh and I had a special surprise in the mail today from Turtle Bay. Turns out I won some contest (again, that's twice in one month) so they sent me my prize which was a T-shirt. Man, July was one lucky month for me!

Well that was my last few days for ya. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!

I love my Dad.

Yesterday Jeff and I headed over to my parent's house to get things organized for our garage sale on Saturday.

...Garage Sale is Saturday (tomorrow) August 3rd from 7-1...
...In Ivins at 330 E. 1175 S...
...We have lots of clothes (comes school shopping), furniture pieces, random home goods, and just lots of little treasures...

I came home to my Dad talking to Cec about future decisions and I was touched by his grace.
It reminded me of all the times my Dad has been there for me and offered words of wisdom.
This is a hard stage for Cec and anyone in that age and it seems that making the right decision of where to go, what to do, who to be around, how long, are impossible.
I remember being there and how confused I felt.
But I also remember my parents love.
That was the first thing that touched me...
 Typical goofy Dad!
Then we headed out to the sweaty garage to get things organized.
We are working for about 45 minutes when my Dad comes out to help after working a long hot day.
After we get it all organized and priced out he takes everyone (Jeff, Trevor, Cec, Hanneman, Teancum, and I) all down to what used to be called "Tri-mart" and buys us all a drink.
When we get home he makes us dinner and talks with us for til 9 even though he has to wake up early to start another long hot day of work.
I'm so grateful for wonderful parents!
I'm so grateful for the love and grace they always give me.
I'm grateful for their righteous examples and for their prayers and just for the blessing of eternal families.
Yesterday was a simple day, but it was one that I will cherish forever because we were all able to work together (which doesn't happen very often anymore.)
I missed having my Mom, Syd, and Cec helping us but I'm grateful that we are an eternal family!
(I just wanted to share again the hankerchief I gave to my Dad the day I married my love and my Dad's birthday!)
