All over the place...

Well this week has been all over the place.
I decided to blog about it in an all over the place kinda way.
So this post is that...
This week's where abouts...
Monday I met some of Jeff's aunts and we had a family bbq at his parent's house. I didn't get any pictures :(
Tuesday I started out the day with an awesome photo shoot with this missionary stud!
Tuesday was our day off and we had so many errands all day. I was dying to swim and lay out all day so around 7 I finally made it to my parents to get the last of the sun then I talked everyone into getting some sno cones! (Mom and Cec were working.)
Wednesday I subbed a couple classes at the Vault and ended up teaching the adult hip hop class!
I was really nervous but I survived and I think I did pretty well, it was a blast! (Nothing like my aunts though, if you haven't come and tried it out you are really missing out.)
Thursday is just a blur...but I taught my aunty Irene the old "take a picture of your arm or knee to look like a bum trick" and she couldn't stop laughing. So don't worry, this picture is just of Trevor's knee but we couldn't stop laughing at it. (Sorry if this is inappropriate, but I couldn't believe she was just learning this trick."
Friday we doubled with Steph and her boyfriend, Jordon!
Jeff won both games and I took second. (Not saying much cause we are awful bowlers haha.)
Aren't they so adorable together??? Just waiting for the ring (haha I'm one of those annoying people that always bugs them about it.)
Saturday we found out that my grandpa had a stroke. :( This is a picture of Trevor holding his hand.
He is stable right now but they are keeping a close eye on his internal bleeding and swelling in his brain. What he needs most of right now is prayers and sleep. My grandpa has always been one of the strongest guys I know, both spiritually and physically. It breaks my heart to see him in this condition and to be so helpless on the sidelines. He is amazing and I am so grateful for him in my life. Please keep him in your prayers.
Also on Saturday I had the opportunity to be the photographer for one of my childhood friends.
It was a lot of fun and she made a beautiful bride.
Stay tuned for more wedding pictures on my photography blog.
Saturday was also the Championship game for the Dixie Rebels where I am a Dixie Chix.
I am so bummed I had to miss it!
I have been a Dixie Chick since I was a Junior in high school and the very first year they started and last night was their last game and I wasn't there.
Today (Sunday) we listened to Syd speak and spent time with both families!
I love Sundays because they just do something to my soul, they put me at true peace.
This picture is of my niece Emme while Jeff and I were playing with her.
Isn't she so adorable??
I'm starting to get a little baby hungry...

Well this post is all over the place but that's my week in a nut shell.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday and is ready to take on a great week!
I know I am! :)

Hair did.

Late at night we sometimes get urges to do random things.
Like...
Dye Jeff's hair.
You can't tell in this picture but we just dyed it a little darker and it has a little auburn tint in the sun! :) thank you box dye for making this possible!
His best feature of course is his eye brows though (inside joke, haha, but they do have awesome shape!)
Oh how I love this boy!

Satisfied.

We are feeling satisfied after our talks!
Maybe more relieved than anything.
We spoke on establishing a house of God and found it really beneficial for the stage we are in right now.
It was really nice to sit and think about what we want our home to be like, now and when we have children.
Cec snuck this picture before sacrament meeting.
We are glad it's over but are grateful that we had the opportunity.

P.S. I am the new CTR 6 teacher! Wish me luck!

Thoughtful.

My cousin Lisia is such a sweetheart.
She really touched my heart this last week when she surprised me by getting me this shirt.
She had a shirt on a couple weeks ago that I loved and told her I almost got the same one.
Well she got me one just like it and surprised me with it.
Thank you cuz, you don't know what it meant to me that you thought of me and wanted to do something nice for me!
I love you!
Always stay the way you are!!!
Just you little good deed makes me want to be more thoughtful of others, so thank you for the reminder!
Pay it forward...

The Tent!

Wednesday night I came home to a wonderful surprise!
Jeff rearranged our front living room and set up a blanket tent.
He didn't just do that...
He popped popcorn, frosted some cookies, set out some hi-chew, froze some kerns for us, and picked out a movie I wanted to watch.
I was pleasantly surprised!
My husband really is as perfect as he seems.
He is always thinking of ways to make me fall harder and harder (probably not on purpose but he just does.)
I love him and I love random nights like these.
Thanks babe!

The ants go marching...

We have been at war with sugar ants this last week.
Ants make me soo mad.
If there is one thing to learn from them it is their consistency.
Earlier this week we started seeing lots of ants so we used store bought bug spray and it worked for a couple hours.
Then we tried some On Guard Do-Terra and that kept them away but they found other ways.
So we tried the cinnamon and found the similar to the on guard.
On Monday night I was so fed up that I wanted to swear so we did a late night run to Smiths and bought some Borax and scheduled to have Garett come spray again.
I'm not sure which one it was, maybe it was a combination, but IT WORKED!!!
Hurray!!!!!
After getting our house sprayed I was not about to cook so I used the ants as an excuse and we went to In N' Out one of my favorites! :) You can't go without getting a hat! (I'm a child.)

Mmmmmhhhhhmmmm the only good thing that came out of the ants was this meal! :)
If you ever have to deal with ants, first of all I am so sorry, and second this meal really does cheer you up!
Goodbye ants, you can go marching on somewhere else!!!

90 years wiser.

Jeff's great grandma Hirschi celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday at Golden Coral.
This is one special lady!
For her birthday she asked if all of her grand children and great grand children write down five goals for this year, for the next 5 years, and for the next 10 years.
It was a great opportunity for us to sit down and think about some goals that we want to accomplish.
She shared her goals she wrote years ago and it was really special to be able to see what goals she set and to see that she accomplished them all.
It was amazing yesterday to see the legacy that has stemmed from her.
I am grateful for Grandma Hirschi and for the example of love and faith she is to me and to all of her family!

That ice cream cone in the back is part of the 3 generation tradition of Grandma Hirschi giving Nancy, Amanda, and now Emme's first taste of ice cream!

90 years wiser and still looking beautiful!
We love you Grandma Hirschi!!!!

Happy Golden Anniversary!!!

Happy golden (22nd) anniversary to my wonderful parents!!
(Golden is when the number your celebrating is the same as the date.)
These two met in California when they were 13! When my dad first saw my mom he leaned to his friend and asked, "Who is that??"...Then he followed with something crazy like, "I'm going to marry her one day." He was a dreamer! :)
They were in the same ward and secretly had a crush on each other but my dad thought teasing her was flirting and she just thought he was being mean.
Their senior year came around and they went to the Homecoming dance together and became exclusive from there on out!
They survived their senior year, only after my dad beat up some guy for calling his girlfriend 'ugly' (which she clearly is not!!!)
He debated whether to serve a mission or stay home and marry Tonya, but Tonya and the Lord asked him to serve a mission so he turned in his papers. He was called to Sydney, Australia.
He left and she was sad but she decided to date everyone and their brother and dear John Bryan a time or two or three.
Well he came home and still only had eyes for my mom! He arm wrestled for her hand, asked her to be his in a park, and after a little struggle and a miraculous pillar of fire from the heavens they were officially engaged.
They were married in the Los Angeles Temple on June 22, 1991 where they were sealed for time and all eternity to later go on and have angel children that will be theirs forever!

I love you Mom and Dad and I am so grateful for your love story that started it all!
Thank you for our example of love and dedication!
You guys are amazing!!!
Happy golden anniversary and I'm excited for many many more!!!! :)

Smallville Marathon.

Jeff watched Smallville in High School.
Ever since I met him he has tried to get me to watch it with him, telling me how awesome they were.
Well I'm difficult and I always put up a fight because if he likes it that much I probably won't (we have different taste, or so I thought?)
I gave in and we started watching Smallville when summer break started.
A couple episodes in and I was hooked.
We watched it any free second we had, I was addicted.
We didn't go to movies, we didn't rent redbox, we didn't go out to nice restaurants, we would always say, "we have Smallville at home," like it was our child or something haha.
After 10 seasons I can proudly say I watched every Smallville episode, from start to finish.
We are sad it's over but we had a lot of fun watching it together!
(I'm really sad, I really am...pathetic I know haha)
I have a whole new found respect for Superman!!!
He is officially my favorite super hero!
If you haven't ever seen Smallville I highly recommend it!!!!

Welcome to the ward.

We have lucked out of speaking in our ward for 6 months now.
However, this next Sunday we will officially be welcomed into the St. George 10th ward by giving a talk on Doctrine & Covenants 88:119.
" 119 Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God."
Talk about a big topic.
But I'm grateful for this opportunity to think about our own house we are building up.
Wish us luck!
Anyone have any good opening jokes? ;)

All Mine!

While we were down on our little anniversary getaway we of course went shopping.
During our little shopping adventures we made a special trip to Kay Jewelers where we paid off my gorgeous Neal Lane pear shaped diamond ring.
So I can officially say that my beautiful ring is ALL MINE!
 Thank you baby! :)

6 months of marriage bliss.

For our 6 month anniversary mark we planned a little get away to Vegas!
We lived the high life for a total of 2 days and 1 night, and we did not want to leave.
Here's the run down of our little vacation...
(Warning: picture overload.)
Jeff had to work in the morning so I got everything ready. As soon as he was off at 1 we were on the road! Here he is doing what he does best, singing in the car.
We couldn't check in until 3 so we had an hour or two to shop and eat something yummy.
I'm kinda bummed we didn't get these!
 Shopping at H&M of course!
Jeff's favorite restaurant is Cheesecake Factory, so of course we had to eat there! He at the usual, burrito grande!
I had the barbeque chicken pizza and added pineapple!
This picture is horrible but we tried a new cheesecake, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake! So yummy! We also found out that Starbucks carries this cheesecake.
Then it was time to check into our suite at the Vdara!
 The little family room area.
Views...
We planned this all perfectly! We checked in around 4, dropped our stuff off in our room then headed to the pool. The Vdara pool was being rented for a private party (for some big magazine) so we got to walk across the way and enjoy the Aria pool! We didn't complain!
Beautiful evening at the pool! The Aria has 3 main pools and a couple jacuzis!
My handsome hubby! (He really didn't know I was taking a picture of him haha.)
We saw people posing here for pictures so we decided to try it out haha looks nice enough!
Just an elevator picture! We stayed on the 48th floor of 56 floors! We had amazing views!!!
The sunset outside our suite window!
 So gorgeous!
 Some more of the view!
Oh and we could see the fountain show at the Bellagio! No big deal! :) The beds were soo amazingly comfortable! We laid down around 9:30 and literally passed out and had the best nights sleep of our lives!
A panoramic view! We woke up around 9 which was sleeping in with the time difference! We didn't have to check out til 11 so we jumped in our suits and headed down to soak up some sun!
The sun was perfect and the pool was amazing!
 We're a little crazy!
Okay maybe a lot of crazy!
Looking up from the lawn chair!
 Our fellow morning tanners/swimmers!
After check out it was off for more shopping! When we go to Vegas we just like to shop and eat good and enjoy the hotels we stay in! However, I will be 21 next month and just once I want Jeff to take me clubbing! I love to dance and I have an eternal dance partner so what's the harm in it right?? Jeff isn't buying it yet...
After shopping til we dropped we headed to the Las Vegas LDS Temple to do a session!
6 months ago we sealed our love for the eternities, what better way to truly celebrate!
Yeah, Jeff forgot his church clothes but they let him in anyway haha ;)
And this session concluded our wonderful little 6 month get away!
The whole ride home we had a deep spiritual discussion that left both of falling more in love!
I sure love this man and I feel so blessed to call him mine forever!!!
It has truly been 6 months of marriage bliss and I look forward to the many more months and years to come!
I love you Jeffrey Preston Hauck!!!
Eternally...
