A Home.

I can officially say that Jeff and I now have a home of our own!
It's tiny.
It's old.
But it's absolutely perfect for us!
Jeff and I have the dream of taking off next year sometime and living a little in Hawaii or somewhere else.
Maybe a little crazy, but it will happen!

So when looking for an apartment, we had some criteria it needed to fit.
It needed to be as cheap as possible so we could save still.
And we it needed to be a month to month lease.

Things we hoped for...
Utilities included.
Washer and dryer included.
Dishwasher.
In town, close to school and jobs and in between my family and his.
Maybe some wifi.

Well let me tell you what we got!!!
A 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment.
Right off of diagonal and bluff, right in between both families, almost perfectly.
Monthly rate is $575, with a month to month lease.
A washer and dryer (brand new), a dishwasher, a stove, a microwave, a fridge, dish network cable, and all utilities...
 INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.

 It's tiny.
It's old.
And it absolutely perfect for us!!!
I am so excited to call it ours! :)

Pictures to come later!

Beautiful To Him.

Church today was absolutely amazing!
I always love church, but today was especially uplifting.
As I was driving home my favorite EFY song came on and it went along perfect with the things that I had just been taught.
So, of course, I had to share.
The lyrics are powerful and important.
Enjoy.

Beautiful To Him by Rachel Thibodeau
So much noise, so much peace destroyed,
I can hardly hear the voice, leading me through the void,
So much noise.
The world's little lies,
Destruction in disguise, opportunities to compromise,
To make me beautiful in their eyes,
But I'm not gonna buy the world's little lies.

'Cuz I define myself and find my beauty in the light He gives.
I'm refined by His divine intentions every day I live.
It doesn't matter what the world believes,
Or what they say that beauty means,
It comes from within,
I want to be beautiful to Him.

He's given me His trust, so I'll be strong enough,
To run from a dangerous touch, I don't need that kind of love,
I don't need that crutch, He's given me his trust.

I define myself and find my beauty in the light He gives.
I'm refined by His divine intentions every day I live.
It doesn't matter what the world believes,
Or what they say that beauty means,
It comes from within,
I want to be beautiful to Him.

I know how to shine, my life's not really mine.
It's not about a worldly climb, it's all about His design.
So in His eyes, I want to shine.

'Cuz I define myself and find my beauty in the light He gives.
I'm refined by His divine intentions every day I live.
It doesn't matter what the world believes,
Or what they say that beauty means,
It comes from within,
I want to be beautiful to Him.

I want to live to have His peace,
And feel the holiness He seeks.
It comes from within.
I want to be beautiful... to Him.

Listen to it here. Video is maybe not the best but the song is.

Gone to Kansas.

So my Mom's birthday is on the 18th of this month.
I love birthdays and I put a lot of thought into them.
So, I had been thinking for a while of an awesome gift to give my mom.
I was talking with Jeff and I mentioned maybe sending her and my dad to Kansas to see Cec.
It would be a wonderful gift for all three of them.
I just mentioned it and Jeff took off with it.
He looked up flights.
Prices.
Times.
And we worked out the details.
(Seriously, I have the greatest fiance EVER!)
At first it was supposed to be a surprise for my mom.
I had talked to my dad and told him not to tell her and to see if he could work out their schedules to make it work.
Of course, my mom has to know everything so she kept bugging my dad and asking him why I was calling and what I wanted.
He gave in.
Typical, right? Haha
So then we decided to turn it into a surprise for Cec!!!
We worked out all the details, finalized the plans, and bought the tickets.
Next thing we know it's Friday morning and my parents are on their way!
I was anxious all day for this surprise.
I kept in touch with Cec all day, she had NO idea!!
PERFECT!
 My parents got there.
Cec's roommate was in on it, she had told Cec that they were meeting up with her boyfriend and some friends for dinner.
They were waiting in the restraunt when lo and behold mom and dad walk in!
She started crying.
My mom started crying.
And they've been having a good time ever since!
I love memories and surprises like that.
They are truly priceless!
Stay tuned for the video, if I ever get a hold of it!

Full Fledge Wedding Planning Status.

Well as most of you know, I am in full wedding planning force.
I know for me, I didn't fully understand everything that goes into a wedding. Haha.
Oh, and I'm soo happy! :)
The list just goes on and on of things to do to prepare for the wedding day.
Like: pick a date, get a reception venue, pick your colors, schedule the temple, call a sealer, find a photographer, set up engagements, get an announcement design together, flowers, choose your bridesmaids and groomsmen, figure out what they are going to wear, find a caterer, entertainment, reception decor, the wedding cake, get announcements made, gather addresses, send out announcements, schedule a doctor appointment, find a wedding dress, find a veil, figure out the shoes you are going to wear on your wedding day, his ring, the cake knife, pick out engagement picture outfits, and a bunch of other little things.
Did I mention I'm a very indecisive person?
(Kinda makes me want to pull my head off like this hahaha!)
Yeah...little bit of a problem. Haha.
That's only having to deal with the wedding, that doesn't even begin with the after wedding planning.
Like: where to live, what things you will need for your future to register for, what you can afford with your budget, what both of your plans are, the honeymoon, car situation, space situation for all my clothes, and other things.
I will admit that the 3rd day after getting engaged, when I sat down and actually started thinking about this stuff I had a melt down.
I was overwhelmed.
But I took a deep breathe and relaxed and reminded myself that this only happens once and I needed to enjoy it.
I wanted to enjoy it.
So that's what I've been doing ever since!
My natural state is a worry wart that wants everything perfect and stresses if it's not.
I know, that's not healthy.
But I'm learning and growing every day!

How about a little update on the wedding plans, yeah?
Our date is 12/12/12, a super epic date and I am soo excited about it!
I didn't get the venue I had wanted because someone is having a Christmas party there that night and they don't want to switch. Jeff called and begged, what a sweetie :) haha I was really sad about that one but oh well, life goes on! So our reception will be held at the Ivins Stake Center, and now planning for it there, I don't think we could have anywhere else big enough for what we want so it works out perfectly! And the best part is that it's free! :)
My colors are red, turquoise, and mustardish yellow.
I'm running with the 12/12/12 date and adding little details of 12 everywhere! Starting with 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen! Call me crazy! :)
My photographer is Funny Face Photography and they have beautiful work!
Sneak peak...
I'm in love with them so far! We took them yesterday and it was so much fun!
Along with the photographer we chose we got a photobooth! YAY!! I wanted a photobooth so bad and this one is the best I've ever seen. The photobooth will take care of the sign in book, and party favor! Legit right? :) Check out the photobooth here.
The feel we are going for for the reception and everything is vintage modern? Haha something like that.
I've turned my front room into a wedding decor room, lots of vintage items!
My wedding cake is going to be absolutely gorgeous thanks to my friend Blanca! Check out her work here. It's going to be 4 tiers with a different flavor on each. Decorated with ruffles, pearls, flowers, and beautiful hand-crafted details. Blanca is seriously so sweet, she is giving me the cake as a wedding gift. Can you believe that? I've been blessed left and right. That seriously saved me $1,000 at least.
Wedding dress!!! I am soo excited about this...I'm wearing my Mom's wedding dress! It's absolutely perfect and what I wanted. I told my my that I wanted a fitted lace dress with pearl detailing and either 3/4 or long sleeves. She replied with, "well you should look at mine, it sounds exactly like you just described." I looked and fell in love! Why didn't I think of that in the first place! I'm not going to post pictures cause I want it to be a surprise! You all will love it! It's totally vintage and absolutely gorgeous! :)
Entertainment...so people here in St. George have no idea what this wedding is going to be like. My aunts are in charge of the entertainment, there will be some traditional polynesian dancing with me doing the Hawaiian wedding song dance, mixed with some other treats! I'm so excited!
My grandpa will be singing at my wedding! He is our official wedding singer! He will also be singing mine and Jeff's song!
That's just a few of the big plans I'm making.
The funniest thing is, that of all the big plans I've been making, the most stressful has been the decision of what to wear for engagements. Haha I'm a diva sometimes!
I hope you all are as excited as I am! :) This is going to be an amazing day!!
I seriously cannot wait to marry my best friend, and one of the most amazing people ever! I love you Jeff!!! :)
Stay tuned for more wedding planning and if you have any ideas you would like to share with me, I would love it! :)
Taken after our engagements! We are soaking but so happy! :)

Along with wedding planning, I'm taking 13 credits in school, working about 20 hours a week, planning a service project every month for my church calling, and teaching and dancing in between. A little busy but I'm enjoying it all!

P.S. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about birth control, so if you have used it or have any information about it please let me know. You can email me at cambriairene@gmail.com! :) Thanks!!

The "Splash-mob" Proposal.

The "Splash-mob" Proposal
 : Jeff's Perspective :

I woke up the morning of September 8, 2012 feeling surprisingly calm and relaxed.  After all, I had already done the hardest part (talking to her Dad) 5 days earlier.  I had spent the week plotting a "Splash"mob surprise proposal with Cambria's aunt Tia, who choreographed an awesome routine and recruited a mob of dancers for me!  But I really had no idea what to expect. The first thing I did after waking up was pray, prayed that everything would go as planned, prayed that the spirit would be with me, and prayed that she would say yes!  I turned to one of my closest friends, my Martin guitar, as I always do when I have a lot on my mind and played a few of my favorite songs.  The last song I played was the one i wrote for her.  As I sang the words, I looked at all the pictures of the beautiful memories I had with the girl that changed my life.  My heart was full.

At exactly 10:03 my awesome brother-in-law Shaye, who is a phenomenal videographer showed up at my house with his film crew (Kyle Fisher).  We made arrangements that they would film the special moments the day had in store, and use his mad skills to make a video!  I got dressed in my suit, and after filming a few shots, went to the Vault to help move the stereo equipment to the Splash-pad.  Everyone did so much to help me, Andy Stokes, Garret Brent, and Alexa Ford (Brent) helped me get all the stereo equipment loaded into some cars and we drove them to the Splash Pad at town square.  After quickly setting everything up and running over the plan one last time I had to hide.  I missed Cambria and her family by minutes, if you know Cam, she is ALWAYS early to everything!  We had a good 30 minutes before the Splash Mob would begin, so me, Shaye, my sisters Amanda and Stephanie, and Kyle chilled in my moms mini-van across the park watching a crowd form around the splash pad.  As the time came closer, my sister got my mom on the phone (My Mom and Dad were in Cabo for the week) and gave her an update and agreed to give them a play-by-play of the whole proposal.  With 2 minutes to go, The film crew was in place, and I was crouching down behind a wall waiting for the music to begin.
At 12:15pm the words of mine and Cambria's first song filled Town Square.  It was time!  I got to my feet, signaled Shaye that we were rolling, and began the walk towards the mass of dancers and the loud music ahead.  On the steps of the clock tower, I could finally fully see and appreciate what was in front of me.  Hundreds of people, including 40-50 dancers filled the Splash pad and the lawn surrounding it.  I had not expected so many people to show up, it was awesome!  Almost instantly, I found what I was looking for.  She was dancing at the front in a colorful leopard print tank-top, with her big beautiful smile and killer dance moves on full display. It was amazing how my heart took over from there.  Almost automatically, I walked to the back of the group of dancers and waited there for an opening to walk through. With the song winding down, I knew it was time to do it.  I nodded to Shaye,

and began working my way through the mob, eyes locked on the most beautiful girl I will ever see.   There she was, dancing full-out, soaking wet, with her most beautiful smile.  I just stood and looked at her for a minute, two feet behind her, but she had no idea I was there.

Finally, I reached out for her and pulled her in to face me.  Her face was priceless, completely shocked.  She asked me "What....? What is this?"  My reply was not rehearsed, it came straight from my heart.  I dont know exactly what I said, but it sounded something like this from my memory.  "Cam, you know you are the best thing to ever happen to me right? You are the only thing I will ever see, and I can't wait to keep you forever.  I love you so much..."  Cambria hugged me and kissed me before I could say anything else.  But there really wasn't anything else to say.  As soon as my knee hit the ground, cheers erupted from the girls around me. I struggled for a moment to get the awkwardly shaped silver Neil Lane ring box out of my pocket.

I don't know if Cam even heard me say "Will you marry me?"  And I'm not sure I ever heard an answer. I was on my feet and we were kissing again before I knew what hit me.  In hindsight, pulling out a REALLY nice engagement ring over a draining grate was probably not the best idea. Luckily I got the ring on her finger without a catastrophe.  Some time in all the excitement, the water had turned back on, and I was getting soaked.  But honestly, I did not care at all.  I just held and kissed my future bride for as long as I could.

I don't really remember anything that happened after that... Lots of wet hugs and pictures, My sister gave me news that my mom was bawling on the other end of the phone, I even got a big group hug from all the dancers haha!  But all I really wanted to do was hold her in my arms, and not let go.  And now, we are going to be sealed in the Temple for time and all eternity so I won't ever have to!

It has not even been a week since the proposal, and we already have a date set and so many amazing plans for the start of our beautiful future together.  I am so thankful to everyone who helped and everyone who came out and was part of the Splash-mob.  I love you all!

To my beautiful Fiance, I want you to know how completely and fully I love you.
I can't wait to make you mine forever...

Guess What...I'M ENGAGED!!!

So if you didn't know yet, I'M ENGAGED!!!
(This was taken the day after all this magic happened! Picture captions will be in purple.)
To the sweetest, most handsome, loving, funny, spiritual, honest (except for this surprise), fun, smart, soooo many other wonderful things, but above all...Perfect for me guy!
If you follow my blog this isn't the first time you're introduced to him.
For a refresher click here

If you don't know how he proposed, well you are in for a treat because I will tell you.
Saturday, September 8th, 2012 is the date of the proposal.
This may take a while to tell, but I hope you enjoy it!!!
 ...
 (Enjoy!)
That morning I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and got ready for dance.
Dance got done around 7 so I called Jeff and ran over to see him for a little because he had to "work" all day and I wanted to at least see him that day.
We cuddled, cleaned a little, and mostly just talked. He said he wished he didn't have to work and that he could be at the "splash mob" that day. I said I understood.
(My aunt and all my dance siblings told me that the city asked us to do a flash mob at the splash pad as a end of summer, beginning of school little celebration. Hence the "splash mob." Keep in mind that we are always asked to do flash mobs for random events so I didn't think anything of it.)
After leaving Jeff's house I headed home to get ready for the splash mob and do chores.
I sang and danced around my house while doing my chores, acting like a crazy person.
I decided not to shower cause we were going to be getting wet in the splash pad and I planned to come home and lay out and swim all day, so I just threw on a tank top and shorts and a hat.
My mom asked if I wanted to drive over with them and I said yes, Jeff couldn't come and I didn't want to use unnecessary gas.
We got to the St. George townsquare splash pad and as soon as we get out of the car I look around at all the kids and families playing and said, "Man, these people have no idea what's coming today. This flash mob is going to be awesome!"
Talk about irony in my words, haha.
My family laughed but I just thought they were laughing at me, cause I always say funny things haha.
Just joking.
(Right after I got out of the car!)
But we go over and start playing in the splash pad, waiting for it to start.
I had little girls clinging to my side, more than usual, but I didn't think anything of it.
Then the music starts.
It's mine and Jeff's very first song, two is better than one by boys like girls, but I didn't realize it cause it was an upbeat version and I just thought the city had picked it.
Oh yeah, my Aunt didn't tell me what song we were doing the splash mob to. Every time I would ask she would say that the city was just going to play a random song. I didn't question.
I learned to always question everything through this surprise, haha.
I was dancing my little heart out, having a blast.
We had arranged that each teacher would take a turn leading the splash mob in the center so when it was my turn I headed to the center.
(Turns out there was a professional photographer there and she captured some priceless moments! I am soooo grateful for them!)
I went through it once and was on my way moving out when my Aunt pushed me back to the middle.
My thought was, "I just had a turn in the middle, why is she pushing me back to the middle? Oh well, I'm having fun!" It really wasn't that unusual that she pushed me back to the center cause we like to joke around a lot and I love mosh pits so when random music is on we will pretend to mosh. Haha.
We have too much fun, okay? :)

(Check out my Aunt's face haha classic! And she knew it was coming haha!)
Well I'm dancing, having a blast when I bump into someone.
I just keep dancing.
Then this person turns me around and I realize that it's Jeff.
And he's in a full suit.
And he has the softest, most in love, most excited look on his face.
And everyone is down on their knees.
And absolutely everyone is staring at me.
And I'm not sure what's going on, I'm trying to process everything as fast as possible.
And everyone is cheering.
And then Jeff says something to me, I'm not quite sure what is was but I think it went something like this...
"Cam, you know that you are the best thing to ever happen to my life. I couldn't picture life without you. I love you so much..."
(Something like that? I don't even know hahaha!)
By this point I was crying, but you couldn't tell cause I was soaking.
Then I give him a hug.
Then he gets on his knee and pulls the ring out.
The center fountain goes on perfectly.
And says, "Will you marry me?" (I think?)
(I love his face in this picture!)
I believe I said yes...haha All I know is I rushed in and kissed him!
His strong hands are shaking and I'm worried about him dropping my ring in the drain so I stick my hands under his.
(There was a professional photographer there that captured a few pictures I will cherish forever!)
We get the ring on my finger and I instantly kiss him.
Everything felt so bright and warm and surreal. It literally felt like I was in heaven with all my loved ones around, everything so light and bright, the spirit was so strong, and the love there was absolutely AMAZING! Words really can't describe how incredible it was.
We kissed, and kissed, and kissed some more.
Whenever we would stop Jeff's brother-in-law, Shaye, would tell us to keep going for his video.
But I didn't mind.
(Stay tuned for the professional video of it all, hopefully he got what Jeff said haha.)
Jeff asked me if I recognized the song, then it hit me what song it was. OURS! :)
We danced some more, smiled a ton, kissed again and again, and just enjoyed the little bit of heaven we were feeling.
When the song ended everyone congratulated us! We gave and received a lot of soaking wet hugs! Lots of pictures were taken! Smiles were everywhere! Tears of joy were shed! And love was truly in the air!!!!!!!
(This picture was for Cec and Brad, I was being silly! Haha I wish that they both could've been there, along with Jeff's parents and sister, but luckily we were able to skype Cec and Amanda was telling Jeff's parents all about it. I really love and miss my sister and it breaks my heart that she couldn't be there, but I'm grateful that modern technology allowed her to be there in a way! I love you Cec!!!)
My Fiance is absolutely amazing! :)
I love you Jeff!!!!
Turns out that everyone knew the whole time, talk about good secret keepers!
...
I can't even give this story justice. The way it is engraved in my mind is absolutely gorgeous and truly priceless. Jeff couldn't have thought of a more perfect proposal. Everyone I love was able to share the moment with us, I got to dance and do what I love, we were able play in the fountain, he got it on film, he was absolutely perfect, and I was truly surprised (which is hard to do!)
I am the luckiest, most blessed, girl EVER!
(After all the excitement, we were seriously glowing and really trying to take in what just happened! We kept saying things like, "wow, that was amazing!" "We really are going to be together forever!" "Do you remember..." "I really love you!" "I'm sooo excited!" and a lot of other things along those lines haha!)

I am soooooo excited for my future with my Mr. Wonderful. I know that we will be absolutely happy forever. We never have a dull moment together. I know that we can get through anything. There will definitely be lots of laughs and probably a few hard times but with him, I will always be the happiest girl. This man truly is amazing! We will have lots of Saturdays with football, dance lessons, fruit smoothies, dirty dishes, dessert runs, sweet serenades with his guitar, and lots of other memories I look forward to! :) I love you Jeffrey Preston Hauck, my fiance. Thank you for loving me with your whole heart! :) We have a beautiful eternity together!!!!!
My beautiful Neil Lane pear shaped diamond ring!
Jeff is amazing and picked out he perfect ring!!!
Didn't he do dang good??
I love it and I love him!!!!! :)

My mom took a ton more pictures and I wish I could upload them all but that would take forever! So come to the wedding and I'm sure you will see more! :) I just want to say that I have the most amazing family and fiance and friends and support system in my life! I am so grateful for all of them!
Life is great! Life is blessed! :)
Everyone smile a little bigger, look at life a little brighter, and be grateful for the place you are at this very moment. Because it will be just that, a moment! :)
(We missed Cecilee, and I wish she could be in this picture, but this will be our new family with the addition of Jeff! :) So happy!!!)
Love you all!

P.S. I tried my best to remember everything but I know I missed things, so I will probably be updating this post frequently! :)

Wish Granted. 8/17/12.

I say wish granted, but what I really mean is "PRAYER ANSWERED!"
I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THIS DAY.
I'm sure no one knows what I'm talking about, so I will just tell you.
I ACTUALLY GOT A PELL GRANT FOR SCHOOL.
That's right you heard me, I got a grant!!!
$5,000 school grant! $2,500 a semester!!
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and joy!
I've always heard of it being so easy for people, and it frustrated me cause I knew I qualified for a grant but for some reason I never got one. So I would end up taking out a loan that financial aid workers never processed right so I would be dropped from my classes and essentially "kicked out!"
HEADACHE!
But none of that even matters now.
As a matter of fact, I'm actually grateful for all that struggle.
It's made me really appreciate this blessing now!
BRING ON THE HOMEWORK, THE TESTS, THE HARD WORK, THE LATE NIGHT STUDYING, ALL OF IT! I'M READY!!!!!

On top of this wonderful news my sweet mom surprised me with new chucks!
She said, "I knew you were having a great day and I wanted to make it better."
BEST MOM EVER, RIGHT?
Then to celebrate me and Jeff went and tried out Yogurtland for the first time and got 3 oz. free!
Wonderful day! :)

Late Night Advice.

Happy 20th Birthday To Me...Late.

Well I'm officially 20! Old right?
My cute family and boyfriend threw me a surprise party that I was actually surprised at.
I literally had no idea.
Jeff had asked to take me out on a date on the evening of my birthday so that's what I thought the plan was. Then my mom said she was going to make me a birthday dinner so I was stressing to be at that too. Anyway, the day went on and Jeff told me he had a surprise he'd been working on for my birthday, and it included me being blindfolded as he took me to the place. The problem was that it was "supposedly" at the same time I was supposed to be at my family's house for dinner so I was stressing. I kept asking if we could hurry haha. But we continued on his time frame anyway...I thought he was taking me to the place he first played his guitar for me and that his surprise was to sing a song he wrote to me there. Well I was kinda right. As soon as he put the blindfold on I tried really hard to keep track of where we were going but it was giving me a headache so I just went to sleep. When we got there he lead me inside, sat me down, and played the most beautiful, heart felt, loving, amazing song ever that he had written for me. It made me cry. Then he took the blindfold off and everyone was there. I got all choked up of course. It's always touching to see the people that really love you and took time out of their busy schedules to show how much they care.

Some pictures from the day :)

For my birthday Jeff redid his old guitar for me! I love it! He also is giving me free guitar lessons...what a sweetie!!!

Everyone at the party!
I love these two girls.

One of our fun games. The oreo from forehead to mouth without hands game.

Another one of the fun games.

All my cousins!

It was a fun evening full of crazy games my aunt came up with, yummy food, heart warming words, dancing, and lots of laughs. I couldn't ask for more. I have the greatest family and friends ever! Thanks for making me feel loved!

Goodly Parents.

I like the way Nephi, fom the Book of Mormon, put it...I have been blessed with goodly parents.
And I have!
My brother and sisters are amazing because of these two people.
I can't even begin to tell you how incredible my parents are, BUT I'm going to certainly try!

Ladies first...

Tonya Irene Dole Sinataonga Ah Quin Horlacher

(I don't know how to spell Sinataonga. Hopefully that's right.)
My dear, sweet, funny, sarcastic, spiritual, amazing, beautiful Mom. This lady is amazing! I remember my mom used to have a shirt that said "One Amazing Woman" on the back of it and she was so embarrassed to wear it so she only wore it when she cleaned, but every time she wore it I would always say, "that's the perfect shirt for you Mom" and she would always roll her eyes (haha). The truth is that she is one amazing woman. She is always thinking of everyone else. She's the most thoughtful person I know. She's always happy (except for when the house isn't clean, but what mom isn't like that? Ha!) She loves clean everything. She is stylish. She is hilarious. She loves to joke around. She's sassy. She is such a hard worker, can I just mention this lady works 2 jobs on top of being the most incredible mother. She is so in tune with the spirit. She is a true example of Christ. She always teaches with love. She is the most supportive person ever. She knows how to give true empathy. Every time I'm going through something hard or something exciting, anything, my mom is always the person right next to me feeling exactly what I'm feeling. Looking back, she's always encouraged me and lifted me up in everything. She always made me feel like I could do anything, and not just do it, but do it well. She truly is my role model and I am so grateful for her and her humble example. I love you Mom! Thank you for the AMAZING woman you are!

Richard "Bryan" Horlacher

My funny funny Dad! My dad is literally one of the funniest guys you will ever meet. Part of the reason why he is so funny is because he laughs at himself, he has mad sound effects, and he will literally drill the joke into the ground (haha). But that's why I love him. He tries to put on a big tough guy front but really he's a teddy bear. He works extremely hard to give our family such a wonderful life. He's always pink (as you can tell from the picture haha.) He loves war and action movies. He cries in heart felt movies (he bawls in Charly every time.) He's always willing to give his strong opinion. He's an amazing coach that loves his athletes. He's taught me to never give up and when time are hard give a little more. He loves to tell old stories, he's famous for "when I was your age...) He loves to cook and he is a dang good cook, everything he makes is completely his own, no recipes. He loves loves loves memories, talking about memories, making memories, planning for future memories, you name it. He loves to laugh. He easy going. He has such a strong testimony and I love when he shares it. He has a happy, cheerful countenance. He lives in a house full of divas and no matter what he is always loving to all of his girls, he's always trying to make their day better. The same goes in life, no matter how hard the situation is he is always trying to make it a little better, and vice versa, no matter how amazing the situation is he is trying to make it a little better and really soaking it in. He knows how to enjoy life. I love you Dad and I'm grateful for you! You're amazing!

I love my family and I am so grateful for them! They are the light of my life!! Thank goodness for eternal families! I love you all!!!!!!!

Sibling Loving.

So I was talking with Jeff the other day and for some reason I randomly just started talking about my family and the things I love about each and every one of them. I think with the knowledge that Cec is going to be heading off to college and our family is going to change has really got me going. I know that change is inevitable in life but it is hard to face. I will admit that I was too scared to leave for college. I was scared to be the change in the family. I was scared of missing out on their lives. Scared of not being with the people I love, and I know love me, every day. Scared of life. I'm grateful for Cec's example and for her courage to do the inevitable. She truly is amazing.

With that I just would like to brag for a second about how awesome my family is, starting with the youngest for once...

Sydnee Tierra Horlacher

Syd is sweet. She will do anything that anyone asks her. I'm always amazed when I ask her to get me a glass or chocolate milk, or turn off a light, or get me a blanket, anything, she will always do it. I admit that sometimes I will purposely ask to see if she will tell me no, but she always does it. I love how she always asks me to pick out an outfit for her and she won't let me go until I have everything set out from her shoes to her accessories. I love the random girls nights we have where I take her out on dates and pay for everything and teach her date etiquette and try to teach her how to answer questions. (She has the tendency to say "I don't know" to any question asked, haha.) She really looks up to her older brother and sisters and always gets excited when people tell her she looks like Cecilee's twin. She is boy crazy. Loves her ipod. Paints her nails all the time. Loves borrowing my clothes. Is admired by her friends. Is an awesome cheerleader and soccer player. She's fun to be around. Laughs at everything I say (she makes me feel funny and I love it.) Is always easy going. Loves any kind of food. And is beautiful inside and out, I love you Syd!

Trevor Richard Horlacher

Trev is humbly awesome. This kid is hilarious. I will always remember he had a school assignment where he had to relate each family member to an animal and state why they were that animal. It melted my heart because he said, "Cambria is like a puppy, because she is fun and playful but she can be your best friend too." Is that not the sweetest thing ever?  He truly is one of my best friends. Another story, when Paula (my best friend/foreign exchange student from Brazil) went home I had to go to girls state the week she left so I said my goodbyes a week early. When I got home I wasn't prepared to see all her stuff gone. I walked up to my room, glanced at the corner where all her clothes had been and started bawling. I came downstairs and was laying on the couch, curled up in a ball crying when I see my little brother walk back in and sit on the couch next to me. Next thing I know he's changing the channel to the show I like, he goes and grabs a blanket for me and a cup of milk with a roll of oreos. He then sat down and watched the show and ate oreos with me. That just warmed my heart but made me cry even more to see how much he loved me. This kid is hilarious. He loves to tell jokes. He loves all animals. He's athletic. He's terrified of girls. He loves loud music. Loves oreos. Leaves a mess everywhere he goes. He loves to have adventures with Navy, and they do some pretty crazy things. Not to mention he's handsome. But the best thing is his big heart. I love you Trev!

Cecilee Ah Quin Horlacher

My Cec-so-sweet. Cec is truly one of my very best friends. We are 13 months apart and have been attached by the hip from the day she was born. Cec is strong, both physically and spiritually. She's super sassy. But also the sweetest person you will ever know. She will do anything for you. She is fun. She is athletic. She is naturally good at everything she does. She is absolutely gorgeous. Me and Cec have so many funny memories. We just always have fun. Whether it's trying to sing along to a cat commercial, fathers day shopping in Big Lots for 2 hours with a guy creepin' the whole time, pretending mom's spankings hurt then laughing in our room about it, drifting the van on accident, getting our car stuck in a corner of a parking lot and needing someone to drive it out for us, playing weird leg war games, pretending to clean our room, watching White Chicks and quoting every line, anything! But along with fun, she is always there to pick me up when I'm sad or give me a hug when I need one. She is one of the most understanding and forgiving people you will ever meet. She is always willing to give her opinion with confidence. She is a hard worker. This girl is amazing!! It's going to be hard not having her home when she goes off to college but I'm proud of her. Even though we both are workaholics but the time that we do get to spend together is always amazing. I love my sister and I am so proud of her. I'm proud to call her my sister and my best friend! You're gonna have a blast in Kansas, and everyone is going to love you, BUT remember..."There's no place like home." I love you Cec!

Stay tuned for my parents and how amazing they are! :) But for now, have a wonderful day! Tell your family you love them...
